And it makes absolutely no sense besides. Trading McTavish for picks and prospects is a big step back unless the pick is 5OA or the prospect is NHL ready. Verbleak is looking for a hockey trade, not a futures trade.

Not to be that guy, but i called that earlier today... just makes sense if they are keeping parayko.

They have 11 15th and 16th picks.... which is prob pretty close to McTavish value....

They also have Jiricek/Carboneau.... Jiricek is a RHD with upside.... Carboneau is prob a forward we know a lot about... he fits our general QMJHL bigger forward obsession.

We mind as well trade with the flyers. Every time we play against each other it would be a dysfunctional violent divorce family affair.

They also have more interesting players. Michkov, Risto, Tippett have all been rumored. They have a late 1st, interesting prospects like Luchanko, Bonk, Berglund, etc. Plenty of combinations. Would we be satisfied with a Michkov/Tippett, Risto, Berglund return for Mctavish+?

I like Jiricek tbh... but i think the blues are pretty weak on RHD so maybe they wouldnt move him.
