Would be crazy if we get 5 for McT.

I see a case for it though.

I also understand how it’s an overpay.

If it really is 5 then blues offer has to be 11 + 16 or something .

Neither I see happening , overpay imo.

Pretty sure if we pull the trigger w NYR Rempe or Schneider is involved . Schneider would flourish in a system like ours. Worth mentioning out LHD are a lot different than the rangers. A lot more puck movers . Wouldn’t be bummed w it . I just want McTavbitch gone tbh . Seems like the gms agreed to have Verbeek sleep on it and decide on draft day. Would be kinda cool if we get to the pick we acquire and bettman / whoever says we have a trade to announce and no insiders report on it . Regardless, tomorrow is gonna be fun to watch/ witness as ducks fans. If we get a pick from Blues, hello Rudolph/Gustafson. Maybe Belchetz/Hemming. So many ways this goes. Haven’t had a draft like this in a while! Hell, Robertson nearly went to StL , Seattle today. (Yes Ik one was an offer sheet but yk what I’m saying) plus Hellyubuck/Larkin/Werenski may/will get dealt. Fun stuff
 
Friedman on 32 Thoughts says if it’s St.Louis the key piece is the 11th overall and if it’s New York then the key piece is a player, wouldn’t speculate who. Also added he didn’t think Verbeek wanted to make the 11th pick so they’d be looking into flipping it. Maybe that’s why this isn’t done right now.

This is so NOT Verbeek's typical process. We never know anything about what he's doing until its done. But this information has leaked out and I strongly believe it's Verbeek communicating through the media that he wants teams to sweeten their offers.

It very much feels like verbeek’s option A is to get a big fish ( knies, larkin ect), but probably needs a top 15 pick to get them. I imagine he’s trying to do a three team trade where he moves mctavish for a pick and packages that with a player (minty?).

Otherwise it’s something like Cuylle +.

Why would a team with a top 15 pick settle for mctavish if they could get Knies instead with that pick and another player?
