Anyone else kinda want Dallas to give up a bunch of young cost controlled guys and sign Rants to a 13 or 14x 8 contract?

I just don’t think it’s good asset management and could really hurt them. He could become their Tavares and then you watch Johnston want that type of money on his next deal too

If what this dork says is true then Mikko isn’t being greedy or selfish, Canes are just idiots if they thought that’d get it done.

Lebrun on TSN:

"At this moment, trading Casey Mittelstadt is not a priority for the Avalanche. He has 2 years left on his deal after this one, not desperate to move him. Now, the center market is very thin and things could change quickly if a team like New Jersey make an offer worth Colorado's while, but they hold the chips after acquiring Nelson and making the center market even more scarce."
yep, I said it last night after the Brock trade; Cmac is sitting pretty this morning...
Those that want a mitts/center, let them come and claim him!!!

a close up of a woman 's face with the words come and claim him written on her face .

Not me.

Marchment - Duchene - Dadonov
Benn - Johnston - Granlund

On the one hand yes on the other I don't need eight years of him putting us out of the playoffs to the tune of DALLAS *dun dun* STARS!

Avs are a top team in the last 20 games of the season. They are finally healthy and just made huge moves not including addressing the goaltending earlier in the season. Try harder to be negative

Avs are improving but you're under selling the competition who have held the fort at the top of the division all season long.

Islanders last offer for Nelson was 7.5 mil x 3 years. I think he's going to get a contract slightly lower then what Stamkos got. Could see a 7 million for 4-5 years type deal to be had.

Here are the top teams if we start from the day Georgiev got traded:

We're up there, but so are the Jets and the Stars. So "we're just a wild card team" is a dumb thing to say, but those two are the teams to beat.

Was the AAV leaked out? I wonder if the Avs would do 4 years at 7?

Ya but the Avs dummied the jets last season with Georgiev and we’ve added to our roster since. The guys we lost in the off-season don’t move the needle.

Dallas for me will be a tough series, if Miro is healthy. If he’s not we walk all over that team

If Brock is willing to take $7m for 4-5 years, you need to sign him to it ASAP. Can’t afford to give up the limited assets we had for Brock to walk at the end of the season. Only way that should happen is if his ask is so unreasonable it doesn’t make sense.

The in-division Avs curse is getting to be pretty f***ing ridiculous. ROR, Duchene and now Mikko. If it's a sign and trade you can kiss your banner goodbye, bitch.

Mikko isn't hurting anyone this year. They still don't have the center needed to make it so he can ghost around cleaning up prime chances.

Not afraid, not even a little, and yes I've been watching every Carolina game since the trade.
