Supposedly Villa is considering selling Jacob Ramsey due to PSR. Ornstein reports that Newcastle, Bayern and Spurs hold interest.

Caglar Soyuncu loaned out from Atletico where he barely played back to Turkey at Fenerbahce. His fall from grace was quite sudden, after the first year at Leicester he looked like the second coming.

His first year at Leicester he wasn't actually that good, he was just physical and made hard tackles so people thought he was amazing.

It also helped he looked like a male model from the 80s.

Hearing whispers of Oblak to United in the summer, which would be stupid not because he isn't better than Onana (he is, slightly), but his biggest problem is ball distribution, so it's basically back to having de Gea in net.

Not that relevant to any particular discussion, but a reminder that people should take reported numbers with a grain of salt since we don't have all the info on the bonuses and add-ons. Mudryk is still a bad buy so far, has potential and moments, still very raw, but those 2 numbers are very different, and also matters when it comes to FFP calculation.

people love to jump onto higher numbers when so often bonuses are very unattainable AND in those instances normally if they achieve the bonus they've been worth the fee!

mudryk at 62m has still not been great. but he has developed a lot and i think still has a lot of growing left to do. he's 23, yes, but has also not played a ton of senior football. i continue to have faith in him to come good, and he's working his ass off to do it too.

He’s also 31, so it’s not like he’s an answer for the future.

If they’re replacing Onana, they either need a true top tier guy (which Oblak isn’t) to hold it down for a couple years while a younger guy is brought along, or they need to commit to a guy in his mid 20s and ride with it.

saw that this morning. Think it would be over the summer and would be around 60/70m that we would want. But is not necessarily coming as we could choose to sell another player. Found the newcastle link weird though

And kinda of my main point, how many of our other transfers were structured in a similar way, that's why you can only take outsiders FFP calculations with a grain of salt, because they aren't going to be working with 100% of the figures.

@bluesfan94 (I think it was you sorry if not)

Since you were asking about him early in thread, wanted to let you know (as anticipated) Calvin Ramsay going back out on loan; this time he is going to Bolton. 99% of the time I would say having to leave a Championship loan to go to a League One loan is a bad thing; but Conor Bradley’s spell at Bolton (Ramsay presumably will play the same position) was great for him so maybe it works out. But then again lightning does not always strike twice. If he stays healthy, we will see.

Also @Ceremony (think this one is for you) Owen Beck is about to get sent back to Dundee now that Andy Robertson is fit. Beck played a couple of pretty good minutes off the bench but every thinks him going back to Dundee is a good thing.

Sounds like a good thing for everyone.

62 or 85. He’s been decidedly mediocre.
Below replacement level player so far.

A couple of moves, Alidu Seidu from Clermont to Rennes for 11 mil, what's interesting about him is that he often plays center back although he's just 1.73m. He usually plays as a right back, but he can also play on the left, versatile Ghanaian defender.

Also as usual the Dutch have no issues doing business with the Russians, so Twente sells their promising Costa Rican striker Ugalde to Spartak for 13 mil.

31 isn't so bad for a goalkeeper. It's not young but it's not like being a striker at 31.
