Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Larry essentially dismisses the Guentzal idea. For good reason.
He does loop back to Buchnevich, mentions a 1st and prospect like Sykora. Makes sense.
He also mentions Chychrun and shifting Lindgren down to 3rd pair. Not the worst idea, cost aside.
Chychrun at 50% for this year and next? Cheap vet like Patches instead of a big time RW addition?

So at minimum, it'd be our 1st + Sykora/Berard, but perhaps the asking price is 1st + Othmann/Cuylle
Also can't imagine that that deal would even be including retention. Othmann for 2 years of a low-cap Buch doesn't seem worth it in my book. Ugh, I'm getting Tony Amonte vibes now.

Carolina wants to move Morrow badly.
They have tried to sign him 2 offseasons in a row. They brushed it off 1.5 years ago because it was just going back for his sophomore year. They tried hard this last offseason and he said no thanks. They are scared about him not wanting to be there and simply saying sure I can finish out my senior year and then pick my team. Carolina had to deal Fox when they thought they could sign him and have watched him become what he is in their own division, it's their nightmare, especially for a cheap shit franchise.
2024 1st + Sykora + Conditional 2026 3rd (becomes a 1st if Rangers win Cup this year or next)

Larry is making too much sense.
Hanifin went for that package? That's it? He is the guy who could have helped the Rangers. The Rangers have these small D like Lindgren and Gustafsson. Good luck people. Too many people consume Vince Mercogliano's content. Vince doesn't know his ass from his elbow.
Guenttzel isn't worth for than that.
1st round pick for a player with term remaining. Yes. Not Vatrano.
Kakko for Mittelstedt or Byram types. Those guys were traded for each other.
Drury looks like a mark and a chump making some of the trades people here want him to make.
Bill Zito makes great trade after great trade. Bennett. Reinhart. Montour. Tkachuk. Finds Verhaegae and Marchment as free agents. Forsling on waivers. He was a decent player with Hawks. Zito makes his mistakes. Chiarot. Awful trade.
People make excuses for Drury. The guy has done an awful job here. He has traded away so many picks and players like Buchnevich and Lundkvist and for some reason we should have faith in him. The same holes remain. Are you crazy?

If they were smart they’d flip Lindgren instead. He’d get a bigger return and is worse than Gus.
How are you grouping Lundkvist with Buchnevich? You lost all your credibility with that.

The Lundkvist trade was an objectively good trade, both at the time and even moreso in hindsight.
Drury's worst trade acquiring a player was Kane last year, and that was more than half Dolan remembering he owns the Rangers to go along with his Knicks
Won't happen for locker room, and Lindgren is RFA in offseason and can be dealt then
I'm just talking what I think realistic would look like, rather than the hopeful we all want of Lindgren dealt and Goodrow benched.
I can draw up line combos all day of Goodrow benched for Edstrom after this TDL because that is what I, and a majority of us, would want. But, it won't happen, so I'll say the writing

I mean he didn’t want to be on the team because they literally never played him lol, he sat like 60 straight games after Schneider came up. Drury got a good return for Nils given the circumstances but he and Galant are the ones responsible for burning the bridge in the first place with their ridiculous prioritization of rookie Schneider who was ass.
Schneider is a better player than Nils.

Nils undeservingly played 25 of the first 37 games before being sent down for the rest of the year. He also got a Swedish babysitter explicitly for him as an UFA. Sucked.
He was bad and is still the same player in the vaunted Stars organization which "knows how to develop guys", getting scratched left and right for Joel Hanley (who? oh he got waived, right).
That is some retconning lol. Burning the bridge..... What.
Rangers got a 1st for Nils who wouldn't sniff that if the Stars tried to move him now.
He's a 7th on a contender and a bottom pair D on most other teams.

Drury has made two huge mistakes. He traded Buch for crap and he f***ed with the group to get Kane.
There are some hit or miss moves, but overall we knew going into the season we were hamstrung for cap. We've navigated that well enough with a lot of others not pulling their weight.
I think he's learned from mistakes. We need guys that will keep us out of our zone and play well when they do get there. Wennberg is the start of that.
I think there are two forward adds. One will be that winger for Zibanejad and Kreider. The other will be a veteran that can play on the 4th line and PK.
Let these other teams make the splash move. Go get the next Vatrano, not him for too much. Add solid players that will have roles and go. I don't think Geuntzel wins you the cup, so I'm not doing it for that price.

Yea I would rather deal a prospect like Othmann than Schneider, but in terms of value Schneider is nowhere near Buch
Especially a young reliable top 4 RHD who is still improving. Good luck finding those.
