Rangers need to get Buchnevich or Guentzel at this point. I’m honestly kind of indifferent which one, but needs to be one of them, especially if Seattle isn’t moving Eberle.

Rangers are def moving their FRP so they need to be getting one of the top tier guys. Honestly I’d take Toffoli too; but again, don’t want to have to go to that second tier

Jones is a legit roster guy but I'm not sure the Rangers can be trading roster forwards right now. Even with Guentzel that just fills out the lineup rather than makes someone expendable

Why does everybody assume the worst when we don't get guys they want? It seems fairly obvious that Tank wanted to go to Florida and had a NTC and it was reported a while ago that Hanafin had a handful of teams he would sign an extension with and the Rangers weren't one of them. Why is this so hard to believe for some?

Like, first you gotta move Guentz to RW and probably stick him with ZIbanejad, then you still have Laf on the right and Kakko on the right filling out the next two lines with Brodz dropping down or to 13th F to fit Wennberg

If you trade Kakko or Cuylle you're back to having a hole in the lineup, albeit a smaller one

Thats not exactly proof he wouldn't resign especially considering we don't even know if Drury even picked up the phone about him. Not many players say no to NYC and especially the Rangers I doubt he wouldn't sign here.

It's been reported a few times that there were only a handful of teams he was interested in and the Rangers weren't one them. I think I read it on here and twitter. He was never linked to the Rangers. Him signing elsewhere should be no surprise.
