But if you had to decide who got the better value here, it’s not us. We were desperate and paid.

Yeah it kinda is a problem that Drury loses too many of these deals.

Kreider Zibs Duclair would be a modern day baseball player...

they'd strike out 250 times but hit a HR once in a while. A HR once in a while is better than what they currently are.

Yeah Duclair has warts... but that line does nothing and doesn't give up much either.

I didnt want to go as high as a 2nd, but i think they identified a player they wanted and needed to pull the trigger. Hes really a replacement for Chytil.

Center market is pretty bare. I think its a good move and the deficiencies Wennberg has will be covered up by utilizing other players in that role

Doesnt Shoot - May help set up Kakko
Doesn't Hit - Cuylle can get in on that line
Sucks at the PK - Shouldnt be used there, but good to have a backup
Sucks at faceoffs - Trocheck and Goodrow will be out there for the important ones anyway.

His pros outweigh his cons. He can skate. Good IQ. Experience. Manages the puck well. Significant upgrade over Brodz

I like the player and the deal this team needed depth so badly down the midd

Not to mention he will be a boost for PP2 and one that is badly needed. They're going to need some production out of that unit.

To be fair I didn’t really hate what Drury did last year either. He took a swing for the little league fences. It was only when Kane forced his way here and we had to do salary cap shenanigans that it really screwed us over.
