We paid a premium for a 3C. This is not the Alex Wennberg of 2016 that get 59 points. We are essentially getting a 30 point player which is pretty mediocre for a 3C. Considering Tarasenko was gotten for a 3rd though, it definitely feels like we overpaid.

I see, a 4th for 50% retention. I guess that is market rate for retention this year.

Look, the data agrees with you. BUT, in a world where our real issues (5v5 with our "top" line, Lindgren, Trouba) are somehow addressed in house through the Grace of the HS, then a move like Wennberg and if we get anyone else will put us in a better position for not much risk.

I’m not gonna sugarcoat the truth which is that we part with seconds far too easily but in a vacuum I said I’m ok with Wennberg for a third and it’s not the end of the world.
