Can't complain about this deadline. I think we're still right in the mix in the East and Wennberg and Roslivic both add dimensions we really lacked, namely quickness and transporting the puck. Nobody is reviving Zibanejad. He needs to wake up. The pressure should still be on Artemi too. This is a big postseason for this core and it's on them to step up, not wait on management to bring them a star.

The West will be ridiculous, but the path through the East is wide open IMO.

Ruhwedal is an underrated move as well. We got pieces without losing much, big deadline win imo. I think we've filled holes without sacrificing futures. The biggest deadline deal and only one that matters is Zibanejad and Kreider being better

He's not the 1RW. That's Lafreniere. He is expected to come in and be a useful piece. Same as Vatrano was

Laviolette is an old school coach who will give him a chance there after letting him acclimate to the team and ease in. Kakko will be 1RW for at least a few games.

We haven’t tried that many wingers with them. Wheeler and Kakko kind of suck. He doesn’t need to be a star winger to get them going, just a style fit.

Vegas does this every year. But again, you have said these big moves don't workout so therefore you should be happy with the rangers deadline?

I am, I said like 2 posts ago that I'm giving Drury an A for his restraint.

We retained the assets to go get what really matters - big game hunting for a 1C and first pair D come the offseason when we can dump Trouba and maybe Mika.
