Drury simply didn't pay filet mignon prices for flank steak cuts of meat. He deserves credit for that. He doesn't deserve credit for filling all of our holes or making us more competitive.

He filled a hole at 3C with Wennberg? How does that not make us more competitive?

I agree there. If Roslovic was part of a bigger TDL class he would be a key fit somewhere. I just think he's a role player and not a top line winger, which is what he'll asked to be here.

What would you have done?

Deadline day is not the day for long-term moves. It's the day to overpay for marginal or expiring pieces.

Other than Guentzel, who I'm glad we didn't overpay for, I really would have liked to see Chychrun. The biggest issue I have with this management is their complete blindness to Trouba and Lindgren sucking ass. But TBH that was probably a pipe dream and I never expected it.

Drury did OK with what he had to work with. I think it's smart to not dump everything for the options that were out there. ome years ther's a guy who's a clear cut above everytone and a no brainer to go for and there wasn't one of those

Average deadline, got marginally better. I didn’t think they could beat Carolina or Florida in a 7 game series before the deadline, and still think that holds true.

I don’t really worry about how good teams got in the west, only one team is getting there, and it would be 3 months away.

If it’s another early exit, I just hope he sees the glaring issues on defense, and send Goodrow to Siberia.

Chychrun or Buchnevich is what I would have done.

Dolan did us a favor if Drury was going to trade it for Vatrano

Regardless if this is true about Dolan, but for ALL of THOSE HERE that have been complaining about the Rangers trading AWAY 1sts and 2nds for many, many years.........well, I am happy we didn't. Whether we realize it or not, this org. has been VERY, VERY fortunate by getting players that WANTED TO ONLY PLAY HERE (FOX, Hayes ANYONE?) getting lucky with not one, but TWO drafts? (Kakko and Laffy) Stealing Zibby from Ottawa many moons ago, Kreider the lone home grown, and I'm sure I missed stuff.
We are fortunate. Take it from someone that went through ALL of those dark days. Every one of them. I'm loving Rangers life, regardless of all the doom and gloom.
