I'm sure there is a lot of time intensive salary cap compliance checks that have to be done when a team isn't trading with Vegas.

If if we do major moves in the Summer, how many teams go through major transformations to get *better*? Usually major moves are resets/rebuilds. I am sure there are examples, but I can't think of any.

I'm happy that we didn't spend premium assets on non-premium players. There were 2 guys who would have been worth it, that were rumored to be available. One wasn't the best fit for the rangers either. Roslovic is an intriguing player, Wennberg is a good fit for 3c, Ruhwedel is fine as depth. Drury did pretty well.

All this bullshit irrelevant trade deadline stuff, is really making me lust for a Rangers game. Why oh why do we have so many long layoff's this year.
Also, Brian Boyle seems like he is auditioning for a future GM job. He is very smart and KNOWS the game. I'd bet on it. Someday.

It all comes down to the star players of the team. Rangers have some very solid, versatile support players much like TB had when they won. Rangers' stars have a target on their backs now, as they should, to sh*t or get off the pot. Enough of the bromances and hugs in practices. That doesn't win Cups. Today resembled much like '22 deadline for me. I honestly don't mind what Drury did today.

Hmm, I was actually hoping to move our first and really go for it, but if the deals weren't there, the deals weren't there. I'm glad we didn't move Othmann or Gabe. Glad we didn't move Kakko.

Yeah, just wish we had utilized our first and some prospects, but there has to be another partner for that to actually work.
