Dickenson is feeling more like Noah Dobson than Werenski which is slightly less intriguing. But still a mighty fine prospect. I just want more eye popping plays, which I haven't seen of from my occasional Twitter/internet scans

Maybe you want Zayne Parekh.

In his first 75 OHL games he has 31g 43a 74pts. This season he’s on pace for 68gp 27g 71a 98pts

Reminds me of Durzi with a better shot.

Nothing wrong with doing everything right and just being solid at everything with no real elite talents. Granted I don't think that necessarily describes Dickinson like it does someone like Reinbacher. But even as a London fan I think while I have him in my top 5 d-men he's at the lower end of the list.

well, the way we're playing, we won't have chance to get either Yakemchuk or Parekh
Parekh probably won’t go top 12, I don’t think. These all offense, modestly sized, 4th forward, rover types usually drop.

Dickinson would be my #2 rated CHL D.

Having a hard time making a list because I don’t watch the KHL or Czech League and haven’t seen much Michigan St.

So my sample on Levshunov is small, I watched a bunch of Silayev but it was all last year, and I’ve only seen Jiricek at the u18s.

So who are we picking with the last pick of the 1st round?
Yegor Surin. Maybe EJ Emery.

I really want to see the Sphere. That's a great excuse to go. Isn't this the last draft the NHL is doing this way?
A few years ago I’d have been crushed by this terrible decision to cancel the draft. But since they made it a weeknight afterthought, it’s hard to be too crestfallen. They’ve already massacred my beautiful boy.

@Dead Coyote - as I recall last draft you were a big Caden Price fan and I was a big detractor. When he slipped to the 3rd round, I felt like I was more aligned with the NHL scouting brass. But I have to say, I’ve been extremely impressed with him this season. His production isn’t eye popping or anything but he’s looked phenomenal in the games I’ve seen.

Speaking of Kelowna, I’m having a hard time ranking if Tij Iginla. He’s got a terrific shot and a good motor. He’s raw in all other ways and I think there’s a lot of development needed. I definitely have him below that tier of Top10 caliber Dub prospects like Catton, Yakemchuk and Lindstrom. And I definitely like him more than Elick.

But I’m not sure where I’d rank him against Ritchie, Basha and Howe. Wondering if any other Dub watchers can weigh in. @hbk maybe.

Love Howe’s compete level. He’s a pitbull, plays hard both ways, looks like a real leader. But he’s really small and I’m not sure where the talent tops out at the next level. Is he just a Brad Richardson? Basha’s IQ is off the charts but he’s lacks physical tools and consistency. Will it translate? Ryder Ritchie flashes unbelievable skill. Busts out jaw dropping skill plus from time to time. But in between all that, he’s not much of a factor.

I think Iginla goes top 15. He is raw but high upside and genetics. Imagine being the Flames and passing on him in the top 15.

I thought he was better than being in the 3rd round, for sure. I thought he would be late 1st or early 2nd at worst. But I wasn't a huge fan of his. Dragicevic was my favorite d-man, by far.

I always advocate BPA but I don't think there's a huge difference between the players at the range we're in unless someone falls. But I want elite potential. I want to swing for the fences. I don't want another safe pick. We've had so many of those. Give me a Kiviharju, Demidov, Hutson, Perekh, or Yakemchuk.

Is there a decent way to get NHL-N a al carte yet? I want to watch the WJC but don’t have NHL-N. Last year I just bought one month of Sling-Orange with DVR and Sports Pack upgrade. Basically cost me $40 to watch the WJC and the I had to cancel and lose the recorded games and couldn’t re-watch before the draft.

One of the few advantages with respect to TV whilst to living in Canada. I get TSN and get to watch every game. And they replay top games all winter from past tournaments.
