On basu and godin's podcast they said they said management valued him being on the team so much they wouldn't trade him for a puck around #10. Not sure they do anything with him.
I'm talking about resigning players that are past their prime instead of maximizing value...even if they don't trade him at this draft I hope they do in a year and not make the mistake of holding on to players that you shouldn't.

Buium over Iginla kinda make sense as far as BPA is concerned. Even if I have Iginla at 4. And Buium at 5.

The only reason why odds are shifting more now is because they are taking more money on the markets now since it's draft day. They do not have more information than we do and their odds are not linked to a feed to vegas like standard game lines are. I personally created, posted and traded draft props for Sports Interaction for multiple drafts. Don't make the mistake of thinking these tradors have more info than we do, the movement is all about incoming $, not additional information. The only time I got screwed over was when Dach at 3 leaked on twitter, I was 5 minutes late on taking it down and lost close to 50K on it.
That's what I've been saying. It's called a book and the idea is to make money with it so this includes hedging to protect the profits from the stupid bets.
Stupid bets are where they make all their $$$$ like at every race track world wide.

It's Friday night.....draft.....dangerous mix.....expect some drunk posting tonight from this guy! Could be a love fest or a rage induced rant. I'm feeling frisky, so who knows! Just don't "emotion-shame" whatever version I bring out!
Haha, love it! Was waiting for your response.

I mentioned earlier that I’m sick and buckleys will be the substance I’m on for this draft. Wild night expected for me too!

It would be pretty ironic to wait until Petry's value drops, trade him for a guy whose value actually rises to that of prime Petry, then wait until HIS value drops as well

That's a shame. He's a fine player but his value is at an all-time high right now and we should be getting what we can out of him since he won't be around (or nearly as effective if he is) for our cup window.

I'd move him for the 10th easily, coming out of this draft with Demidov and even a guy like MBN would be massive for us. Plus with him out of the way we can start to really develop Guhle and Hutson into those LD spots.

Hutson especially, he needs PP1 time. Either Matheson stays on PP1 and hutson isn't getting the development he needs, or hutson gets it and Matheson's value drops from not putting up as many points. Mailloux will also need PP minutes at some point too, maybe we go back to 2 D on one unit.

People getting worked up over Demidov as if they regularly watch MHL games. I do hope we take him but I admit all I have seen are stickhandling highlights. Nobody does that kind of thing in the NHL today.

Gallagher does!

I'll go against the consensus and say that it's not a bad mock from Cosentino. Don't know if that will happen....but it kinda make sense. If the idea is go big and forward...habs could choose Sennecke potential over Iginla safeness. that's actually what we do when we take Demidov ahead of Lindstrom. You go potential ahead of guy that is safer. Well the same can be applied to Sennecke vs Iginla.

If Carolina trades for 4th to take Demidov I will personally start a go fund me to bankrupt that grown ass butthurt child Dundon
If that happens, how about asking yourselves what WE should have done to beat the Canes offer? I'd blame Hughes for not moving. ESPECIALLY if he whines later on that the player they wanted was just picked....

would be funny from the Canes to involve Kotkaniemi in that kinda of deal though....

Yup 100%. When you know how to trade a market that has more than 4 runners it's almost a guaranteed profit. Trust me, these guys do not have more info than we do.

The NCAA factor + the American factor really does bug me a lot but I figure it affects picks outside the top10 more than picks from inside the top10.
