Age of prospect is rarely mentioned/considered amongst guys that are 2-3 years apart (not a few months, but multiple years sometimes of difference).
Have you followed the NFL draft before? Even once?

Flipping our 2nd for NYR's 1st could be a decent basis for a Goodrow trade. If we take Campbell, it’s for a 2025 1st and I think Edmonton will prefer to buy Campbell out over using that asset when they will need to make an actual add to their roster to compete next year.
Goodrow also won’t be a likely option because his buyout is likely preferable to moving a 1st. I don’t know if there are dump options for a 1st but a 2nd may prove as useful because they’ll have three to use to move into the 1st round.
just saying baseball is a mix where they can be drafted outta HS or NCAA... but theres requirements on how long they have to stay in school before their eligible. So its like 18 vs 21 year olds and polished vs developmental potential.I don't know anything about Baseball, but that might be an interesting area to investigate re: whether age at draft is discussed, because those players are also being drafted at 21 but baseball also seems to have a longer development curve.
In soccer, absolutely people talk about birth months, but there's no draft and players are getting scouted and signed to academies from very early ages.
I'd take a 2nd and maybe a 4th. Goodrow's got 3 years, but the cap hit isn't bad and it's not like we need the space over the time.If we take Campbell, it’s for a 2025 1st and I think Edmonton will prefer to buy Campbell out over using that asset when they will need to make an actual add to their roster to compete next year.

Junior college players can be drafted at any age (Albert Pujols was drafted out of juco), but that's comparatively rare - few players of any quality go that route and get drafted from there.just saying baseball is a mix where they can be drafted outta HS or NCAA... but theres requirements on how long they have to stay in school before their eligible. None of those, you wait until someone makes an offer worth your while. If Rick makes it clear that he'd rather see Macklin destitute and on the streets than in a Sharks sweater which package would you guys prefer if we win the lottery?
1 for 2 and Tampa's pick from Chicago
or
1 for 6, WPG's 1st, and their 1st unprotected next year from Montreal
If Celebrini isn’t signing with us and makes it clear, don’t think there’s any chance anyone offers us that. We might get a first and a second max.If Rick makes it clear that he'd rather see Macklin destitute and on the streets than in a Sharks sweater which package would you guys prefer if we win the lottery?

The "we didn't get Celebrini" new content hype train
My current "best guess" ranking from a Grier POV of these prospects is:
- Demidov video eval (posted yesterday)
- Lindstrom video eval (2 months old)
- Yakemchuk write-up (posted today)
- Levshunov EP video (1 month ago) and my summary of EP's film room (paywalled) from last week
- No new content on Silayev that I've seen.
- (edit) perhaps it's telling that I forgot to include and rank Dickinson, the "butter on toast" of this year's top tier of defensemen.
2. Lindstrom (big, fast, good shooter, developing playmaking, has some snarl, potential 1C if he hits his ceiling, questions are around hockey sense and health)
3. Levshunov (top end tools and potential, possibly some processing/D-zone decision making issues, "clay of the highest quality" if team can shape him)
4. Yakemchuk (big, skilled, nasty, faster/better skating than people give him credit for, some of the same defensive judgment q's as Lev... despite playing in WHL vs NCAA I might personally prefer Yak over Lev)
4. Dickinson? I don't know what to think. Could be big/fast/hard to play against, could be too boring, could be first D off the board.
5. Demidov (highest pure skill player in draft, could be elite play-driving wing, not big and maybe not stylistically what they're looking for)
6. Silayev (huge, great skater, shutdown D profile, might be higher if not for the 3-year contract and the flat trajectory through the season, possibly would be seen as a 6-8 were it not for a fast start on points generated)
7 and 8. I'm guessing Buium and Parekh would be below these, and in a tier with Helenius and Catton - doesn't seem like those profiles are what Grier would go for at 2-4.
No matter who we pick, I'll be excited and hopeful, because it means the scouting staff really wanted that specific player out of this messy soup, and as of now the draft picks have been solid enough and could be seen as extremely good overall with 1 more year of solid + development. No reason not to trust the scouting staff yet.
It'd still be a bidding war for who gets him though. I think Rick's only beef is with the Sharks, so not like he'd be unwilling to sign with other teams. If Celebrini isn’t signing with us and makes it clear, don’t think there’s any chance anyone offers us that. We might get a first and a second max.
I think we'd get significantly more than a first and a second. You still take him 1st OA and then you let the bidding war start. If Celebrini isn’t signing with us and makes it clear, don’t think there’s any chance anyone offers us that. We might get a first and a second max.
If the Sharks win #1 and Celebrini doesn't want to sign with his second hometown team they should be relocated. If Rick makes it clear that he'd rather see Macklin destitute and on the streets than in a Sharks sweater which package would you guys prefer if we win the lottery?

There are sources saying he wants to be as far away from here as possible. If the Sharks win #1 and Celebrini doesn't want to sign with his second hometown team they should be relocated.
If the Sharks do indeed receive Pitts first rounder and Helinius is still available. Would you select him over Nygard?
I've been in the Nygard camp as I'd feel he pair up well with Eklund but, Helen's is a more skilled player and would pair well with Musty.
I can’t believe that a „The sister of the dogsitter of my grandcousins cleaning-lady“-rumor is messing with so many of your heads.
There is a 25.478912 % chance of him wearing teal in October. That cut from the 25.5 % includes a lot more than said rumor: he could be hit by a bus, he could turn into a radical climate activist and decide to never lace skates again, etc.
Anyone worried about that? If not, don’t be because of some tea-leaf-reading.
