Trevor Connolly is currently playing in the USHL for Tri City Storm. But why he don’t play for the -18 years old americain team if he was that good? I mean, I think it better to player for this team. Isnt?

If we are drafting 5-8 and San Jose doesn’t win the lottery I’d try to trade up for their pick. We could use the Wpg pick and picks/Harris to entice them.

If we use both the Jets and the Flames picks to move up, is it enough to get Iginla?

Probably not.

Because he has a bad reputation, that matters to the USNDTP.

I don't think San Jose would move down, they're gonna want one of the top defenseman in the class and they already have an additional first rounder from Pittsburgh for Karlsson, and they got one last year for Meier.

You'd have to look for a team that needs more picks or prospects and that doesn't seem possible here, most teams around us have been rebuilding for longer than us.

Habs still have the hardest upcoming schedule in the league. Bad news is Columbus is also top 10 in hardest. Getting to the 4th spot would pretty much guarantee Habs get either Lindstrom or Demidov
Good thing it is a lottery! I’m hoping every year that we win it. Until the lottery selection, it will remain a big question mark. But it does seem that this would be a great year for us to win it :-)

What do you think of that tall Russian Dman? Why Catton ahead of Dickinson and Parekh?

I forgot Levshunov, I'd probably put him ahead of Parekh.

I am not a fan of the 6'7 monsters, I think it's always the dream to have Chara but very rarely do they make a massive impact.

Catton is one of my favorites in the class. He's always dynamic, he's creative and he always shows up in the clutch moments. I don't have many fears with top point producers who produce in big moments.

I think he's better than Cooley and Smith and I was a huge fans of the two.

That's how i see it ;-)
Thank me later

I don't really see the Russian factor being an issue for the Habs as the michkov situation was mostly about not being able to control his development for three years.

But do you think the Russian factor will defer any of the American teams in front of the Habs in the tank standings?

No, more like positional factor will and the fact that most of the teams ahead of the Habs have invested in their forward group with high draft picks rather than defense

Because he has been a world class d-bag and burnt all sorts of bridges.

I am not saying the kid can't grow up and be a better person but he is considered a toxic teammate and everyone is wary about bringing him on board.

One thing to consider is that you know Hughes phone is gonna be ringing from those gm's 2 or 3 spots behind, looking to trade up for the next dman on their list.
