Yes, he's very high on my list. Im not sure you like him for the right reasons though, keep in mind he is not his father.

I know he ain’t tough as his father even though i think it’s in his gene. But he has a lot more pure skills than Jarome had.

But he’s such already strong physically for his age, it’s impressive. Lower body strenght already there.

My January top 10:
Celebrini
Demidov
Eiserman
Dickinson
Levshunov
Lindstrom
Silayev
Catton
Iginla
Helenius

Though it was only one-game (and played in an all-star format) I thought Misa was as noticeable as Catton and that Yakemchuk was the most noticeable defenceman. The other players that I thought may have solidified their draft status/ranking included Iginla, Sennecke; Greentree, Parasak, Luchanko and Beaudoin. I was also impressed with Kieron Walton, who at 6' 6" displayed surprisingly good skating and hand skills. Dickinson, who didn't have one of his better games, still showed his upside as a potential top pairing, mobile defenceman.

Good list. I would exchange Lindstrom for Demidov solely as a consequence of the Putin factor and switch Dickinson and Eiserman. It would not surprise me if Dickinson goes 2 OA. Such is the level of his upside. Particularly, if he leads the Knights into a berth at the Memorial Cup.

I only watched a bit of the Top Prospects game, and am hoping to watch the rest tonight.

- Dickinson looks like a can't miss top 4 d-man. Big, mobile, steady, calm, handles the puck well. He's not flashy, but he gets the job done.
- Iginla is looking very interesting at this point. His game is quite multidimensional so it's hard to imagine him not translating into a top six player at the NHL level. Lots of areas of strength in his game.

Hope to have more insights to share later.

I’ll give it a shot

Celebrini
Demidov
Levshunov
Parekh
Silayev
Buium
Lindstrom
Dickinson
Helenius
Iginla
Parekh at 4 OA would be a massive overreach. As last night's game showed, Parekh is a unidimensional offensive minded/skilled player who has no interest in defensive hockey, is only an average skater and is of slight build.

Unless he undergoes a metamorphous, he will be crushed in the NHL.

so if this year has so many RH d men, habs could have had one and drafted Leonard last year.
unless our RH dman last year is way better??

You don't base your draft on what the next year offers. Habs might very well pick another D this year if they feel he is the BPA where they pick.

I get that... but seems like this is the year for RH
Maybe other teams will go for the RH d men, and habs get a better forward left on the board

Exactly. Draft lists can change every quarter. Lindstrom probably wasn't in anyone's 1st round to start the year. Can't base a pick on anything except who you consider BPA.

Most of the forwards have already fallen to where the Habs will pick (7-10 range) in the rankings (including Bob's), we can only hope that the habs brass prefers one of the forwards to whatever dmen is left.
