Sennecke looks like he's doing fantastic so far this season.

Whoa 1.4 PPG in his D+1! Is that even possible?!?

Demidov would probably have a 1.4PPG in the K if it wasn’t for his shit for brains coach.

So taking Sennecke over Demi is understandable but taking RB over Michkov is a generational mistake that we’re gonna have to hear about for years?

It's not unprecedented for these young players to be pressured to stay in the KHL.
For top 10 picks it kind of would be. It's certainly not common.

Since 2004 there has been 15 russians drafted top 10. Only 3 did not come to NA (NHL, AHL) before their D+3 season. Malkin, Simashev and Podkolzin. Malkin there was a lockout in his D+1 so understandable he extended in russia. Simashev is likely not ready so there was not point for him to come now. Podkolzin came in NA in his D+3 so it would be the equivalent of Demidov signing an extra 1 year deal and then sign with Montreal. All the others came either in their D+1 or D+2.

I sure hope he can handle the immense pressure the media throws at him. Does he speak English? Might be better if he doesn’t.

I mean he came back from injury and had a bad first 3 games but is rolling at 2 PPG since.

I'd still take Demidov over him in a second, but he's gonna be a lot of fun to watch and should still be an excellent player.

Oh I’m being a bit cheeky. He’s fine from what I’ve seen. But you don’t take him over Demidov. Not Lindstrom either.

I saw a couple minutes of Demidov’s highlights and knew he wouldn’t fall to us and couldn’t watch him anymore.

He's already turned down 3 contract extension offers, according to reports. You never know for sure, but everything points to him having no interest in staying in the KHL.

His agent is notorious for getting his Russian clients to NA as soon as possible : Kucherov, Vasilevskiy, Romanov, etc. His agent openly said that Demidov's intentions were to move abroad once his contract was done.

Factor in his performance and his level of play in the KHL, the kid will be ready to graduate to the show next season.

Demidov is such a beauty to watch. He is a bulldog with elite skillset.

His hard work will make him a very very special player for many years to come.

Like Slaf, they not just have talent, they have that mentality to become better every day!

…. I have no trust in Russian KHL owners and hockey managements. If they really want Demidov to sign, they will find a way to make him sign.

He would be but Russia is banned
The banned Russian athletes from international competitions does not have any effect on the war in Ukraine. They should be allowed to participate, especially the hockey players.
