4.66 p/60 ish. Numbers may be wrong on account of sinus headache.

Also I think his gp total is factoring in a game where he was benched with 0 TOI

imagine if they could draft one of the top 3 studs this year to go with Demidov. Just need to fix this blueline and things are looking up. Well blueline, goaltending and for sure one more coach....

After the two points today, he'd be tied for 9th on here with Tarasenko. Passing Kaprizov's totals is attainable should he stay healthy and his coach actually lets him play.

The day demidov joins the team is the day we will finally have two potent scoring lines. Our offense will finally expand beyond Suzuki and Caufield. Slafkovsky and Dach are great complementary players, but they can't stir the drink.
Sorry, but I would take Slafkovsky before Caufield any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

7-game point streak. He has 11 pts (2G, 9A) in those 7 games. Now on pace for 59 pts (19G, 40A) in 68 GP.

He moved his way up to being 2nd in scoring on the team, behind only Gritsyuk, who is also young at 23, but playing in his 4th KHL season.

If Rotenberg wasn't being dumb and playing Demidov under 4-5 minutes or benching him for a handful of games, he'd most likely be top scorer.

But at least he's a better person now.
That's what's most important.

I feel like it’s easier for Russians who come in at 19-21, don’t have the data handy though
For sure it helps that they usually come in a bit later but even then it's often close but no cigar
Panarin had 77 in 80 at age 24
Kaprizov had 51 in 55 at age 23
Kucherov had 18 in 52 at age 20

So it just seems unlikely for Demidov to break the mold and actually hit PPG, but he very much could come in and be very close. And it's worth noting that even if he doesn't come in and be a stud offensively it just doesn't mean much either.

Slaf’s a really exciting prospect. You could well be right that he’ll be much better.

But I believe CC is going to be among the absolute best scorers in the game. Goals are what determine wins and losses. Goal scoring comes at a premium. At the end of the day, I’d actually take CC ahead of Slaf.

He’s not as complete a player and Slaf may make me eat my words as I love him as a prospect but CC has already shown he can score at a 50 goal pace when healthy. That kind of talent is really rare.

Can’t wait to se Demidov. I mentioned it in another thread but you have to be excited about the talent we’ve got coming up.

Ouf, I know what you’re trying to say and I want to agree.

Caufield is looking be a legitimate threat to be a rocket winner this year, if that’s overly optimistic for anyone - at the very least he has a shot to finish top 10 in goals. That’s a huge feat and something our franchise hasn’t seen in decades.

But Slaf man… he’s 3 years younger than CC. Built like a piece of granite carved by god himself. Potential is Rantanen-lite. He just needs to become a bigger shooting threat.

Demidov? He can eclipse them both. Demidov will be firmly in that Patrick Kane, Kucherov, Kaprizov mold. Were talking 100pt player here.

He's generating far more offense than he is converting. Absolute mad lad.
It will be fun to have a highly skilled flashy forward. Kovalev was cool but we didn’t have him long, got him later and he was inconsistent.

I mean, even Richer - who I loved - was more of a North South guy and didn’t have a lot of flash. You probably have to go all the way back to Lafleur….

Yep. I have no doubt that any of those three could wind up being the best. Slaf has physical jam and skill that’s hard to find. Demidov will be Mr Flash. Either one could be our best.

But right now? I’ve got to go with the guy who’s already shown he can be an elite goalscorer in the NHL. And I get it, he hasn’t dominant over a full season and is coming off a disappointing year… but all that can be explained by his shoulder. That seems to be a thing of the past now and he’s making up lost time. Such a young player and he’s already filing the net. I get that he’s somewhat unidimensional but those goals are so valuable.

I’m not firm on this though. I haven’t seen much of Demidov. So maybe he’ll just blow everything away.

Just saw a couple highlights from today but holy f***ing hell. I haven’t seen Levshunov but this guy must’ve tanked his interviews. I don’t think the other 3 teams could’ve craved positional need THAT much.

I imagine what a player like Demidov whose so good at possessing the puck and drawing defenders to him, can do playing with Caufield who excels at finding soft spots in coverage to shoot, can do playing together.

Lawwwwd…sweet baby Jesus let us have this one.

How many other players at any level of pro hockey can self-create breakaways every game? I know of none.

If I had to trade one away TODAY it would be CC without a doubt and zero hesitation. And I love CC. I went hog wild bullish on here with him during our Cup run. Probably too much lol but we’ll see. I don’t think he’s done improving his game. Really interesting to see where he caps out.

STILL he’d be gone tomorrow lol. Do yourself a favour and go watch some more Demidov highlights. He’s f***ed lol. Potential Art Ross guy.

I’m way too confident in Slaf. The size is too important and you just can’t put a cap on his upside.

Definitely not belittling your opinion just wanted to weigh in.

End of the day I think people are underestimating Slaf and CC’s upside. Demidov is getting the right amount of hype because everyone who’s seen him enough can see immediately he has top 5-10 scorer potential.

It’s amazing to have all 3 plus several others who can put up high end offense.

My huge glaring weakness in being an armchair scout on here is I actually don’t watch much hockey anymore so my knowledge of other teams and top players is limited. I saw Mackinnon last playoff a bit and was blown away.

That being said, Demidov’s creativity, IQ, skating/edgework, hands and motor are beyond. Really uses his body well to protect the puck. He doesn’t have the otherworldly speed of Mackinnon and McD but he’s made very good gains and the rest of his toolbox is bananas. To impose his will on the KHL like this at his age screams 100 point guy.

To have him and Hutson is going to be unreal. What do those two guys do when they’re on the ice together?
