Wasn't feeling well and had to hit the sheets in the first period and watch from under the covers.
McAvoy et-al played better but he still needs to fire away on the PP
without the hesitation that he shows.
If the B's had him taking the occasional one-timer it would add
a Hell of a lot to the attack on the PP.
IMHO the Bruins played one of their best games so far this season
and should've had a few more goals but a hot goalie and a post or two
and it ends at 1-0.
Korpisalo trade is looking pretty damn good for Don Sweeney because is not
for him, and Kastelic this team would look dreadful.
All in all, a satisfying win for a change, and I hope that it doesn't revert back.
He needs to shoot! He also telegraphs his passing. He needs to be one step ahead. Not sure if he has it for the PP. Shooting from the point is N absolute. It opens up the box.

He's the kind of player that gets coaches fired. I'm a BRUINS' fan, but I'd be a happier BRUINS' fan when Pasta is purged from the team.
BTW, we all are watching the same guy, right? The coaster who wears #88? And only plays hard when he wants to?
I’m guessing a nagging injury - thats the skinny and second guess upper body

Don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but they played a lot meaner than they have in a long time.

Kastelic fights aside...outhit them quite handedly and lots of white shirts getting roughed up after the whistle.

Cassidy and Monty both were too soft from a coaching system perspective

Cassidy was a better X’s and O’s Guy (he wins game 5 against Florida in 23) and Monty is a better youth coach.

This team needs something more than both at this point so we’ll see how it goes

What happened to the thread about Korpisalo? Did it get deleted? I went back 10 pages and couldn't find it.
He's been extremely solid and I would say MVP of the first quarter of the season. The one thing you notice with him now vs the past is his lack of movement and I don't mean that bad, he expends minimal energy stopping these shots. His angles are good, tracks the puck good and really calm, cool and collected. I like when I am wrong about things, usually a benefit to the team lol

Korpisalo should be made the starter until Swayman gets it together.

Korpisalo has been solid. He should get a few starts in a row and let Swayman regroup.

My issue with the Korpisalo thing is around asset management. Why take on that contract if you’re going to just pay Swayman anyways? Any “savings” realized from Korpisalo performing better than expected was sunk back into the position anyways. And to me that’s a Sweeney issue.

They didn't want to go into the season relying on Bussi as the backup, so they acquired a vet they thought they could fix and have been proven right. Really aren't paying much more for goaltending then we have in the past if you go by cap % anyway.

Feel better. Try a more positive attitude!

Too much $$ tied up in goal when the team can’t score.

if they trade him , it better to be against a great player and not again 3 garbages like thornton seguin etc…
Pasta not going anywhere. I said in my frustration earlier that he is washed I was wrong. He played a good game last night. Simplified his game. Took lots of shots. Didn’t score but was a threat. Also didn’t turnover puck much.

So, what you're saying is Pasta doesn't have much trade value.
Lol terrible spin. He is saying Bruins management is bad at getting proper value in trades with superstars

Baby steps I guess. The boys won both special teams battles and that was the difference in the game. At 5v5 neither team really had a significant edge in shots or chances.

Because he was lol

Mason Lohrei especially the power play end of first was dynamic

He should be running it
Yes.
Good point.
Plus he carries the puck into the zone very well and he just seems to have one of those interesting shots where it appears hard to read coming off his blade.

The PP looked good. Lots of shots. More player movement aside from Pasta standing in his "spot" shooting one timers over the glass or directly at the goalie. However...a nice play with the slap pass. More of that please.

Kastelic. A Don Cherry Lunchpail guy if there every was one.
