Having a first pp wave of Slaf Suzuki Demidov Caufield and Hutson will be unreal. Most talented team we will have in decades.

Just saw a couple highlights from today but holy f***ing hell. I haven’t seen Levshunov but this guy must’ve tanked his interviews. I don’t think the other 3 teams could’ve craved positional need THAT much.
I don't think any scouts expected Demidov to go from what he showed in the MHL to being near PPG in the KHL without PP time and low TOI and adjusting super fast to the pro-game.

Also, he seems to have really wanted to be a Habs.

He’s exceeding expectations but it’s not that big a shock really. The goods were there. f***ing Sennecke surely didn’t show this kind of upside lol

I think it's mostly just lack of live viewing in Russia and NHL scouts don't like picking high players they can't live watch.

For example, during the mini-combine in Florida, Timmins was interviewed and he said he was surprised Demidov was much bigger than advertised, so CJB had no scouts in Russia it seems. Probably the same for Anahiem.

If I had to trade one away TODAY it would be CC without a doubt and zero hesitation. And I love CC. I went hog wild bullish on here with him during our Cup run. Probably too much lol but we’ll see. I don’t think he’s done improving his game. Really interesting to see where he caps out.

STILL he’d be gone tomorrow lol. Do yourself a favour and go watch some more Demidov highlights. He’s f***ed lol. Potential Art Ross guy.

I’m way too confident in Slaf. The size is too important and you just can’t put a cap on his upside.

Definitely not belittling your opinion just wanted to weigh in.

End of the day I think people are underestimating Slaf and CC’s upside. Demidov is getting the right amount of hype because everyone who’s seen him enough can see immediately he has top 5-10 scorer potential.

It’s amazing to have all 3 plus several others who can put up high end offense.
No that’s cool. All of them are highly talented and that includes Suzuki.

But I put a premium on goalscoring. At the end of the day that’s what wins games. When you determine winners and losers it depends on who scored the most GOALS.

And again, we’ll have to see. I believe in CC but he still has to prove it. 48 in 82 is amazing but unfortunately split between two years. Hopefully this is the year.

I’d be shocked if Fowler doesn’t sign his pro contract by end of this season, he’s having another good year at BC

With the rep he’s now established, he’ll get a game in nets to burn the 1st year off that ELC

That’s fine but he’ll still need a full year in the AHL.

I don’t think Columbus and Anaheim were necessarily going BPA. They’re not markets where they’ll be pilloried because they make a mistake. A North American can easily connect to fans… I think ironically Chicago are in the toughest spot. They’re a relatively big market in comparison. Many fans follow the draft and wanted Demidov. That one might sting.

Sennecke is plain vanilla in comparison to Demidov and Lindstrom has his health challenges. Montreal fans would have blown a gasket by now. It would be Dante’s inferno.

7-game point streak. He has 11 pts (2G, 9A) in those 7 games. Now on pace for 59 pts (19G, 40A) in 68 GP.

He moved his way up to being 2nd in scoring on the team, behind only Gritsyuk, who is also young at 23, but playing in his 4th KHL season.

If Rotenberg wasn't being dumb and playing Demidov under 4-5 minutes or benching him for a handful of games, he'd most likely be top scorer.
You see him playing on Slaf line next season?

Sennecke looks like he's doing fantastic so far this season.

It's not unprecedented for these young players to be pressured to stay in the KHL.
Demidov doesn't look to be that type. Look like smart kid with head on his shoulder, and his agent and his entourage definitely knows he will make more money the sooner he comes to NA.
