Ryan McDonagh was faced with the same situation as Goodrow, yet he was a fantastic soldier for Nashville. Just because Goodrow didn't want to waive his NTC and might be upset about it does not mean he will have a shitty attitude. Goodrow is known for being a very high quality leader and the pros pro. This isn't a Laine type attitude.
He can't grieve it. Even if there were negotiations and chatter about it it, Goodrow was eligible to be placed on waivers and San Jose had the right to pick him up off waivers.
Well there is what happened and then what you can prove. I personally think Greer and Drury discussed all of this prior to it going down. While Goodrow didn't have a NMC, he did negotiate a NTC in good faith. If Goodrow could prove the two planned this course of action he might have grounds for a grievance. Don't know how he could possibly do that unless Chris and Mike were dumb enough to use their official emails to talk it over though.
