Only Ottawa roster players that look like a close fit for Ullmark is Batherson or Pinto. Otherwise probably just a pick or picks. Hopefully Staios gets desperate with the quality goaltending market narrowing.

Edit: I think the emergence of Lohrei makes Donny pass on Chychrun. Otherwise Donny probably would have gone for him.

There's nothing wrong with Utah Goaltending
Connor Ingram is a more than capable # 1 goalie
I'm going to say and this is based off that he wants to stay on the East Coast:
Flyers
Sens
Blue Jackets
Red Wings
Might all be looking for a starting Goalie

Ingram is 3.10 GAA / .906 SV% for his career. He's got room to improve at 27yrs old, but your not going very far if he's your #1 goalie

Im guessing something around Chychrun and getting our 2024 1st rounder back for Ullmark would be the deal…. with futures on either/both sides, based on either guy resigning etc.

Wouldn't make sense for them to make their team even worse just to acquire an aging goalie. They won't be sending a major roster player.

While I think it’s highly unlikely, Batherson is the guy I would want from Ottawa.

Ottawa isn’t going to trade a young productive winger on a great contract though. So it’s nice to dream.

Don’t really have a ton of interest in Chychrun. Good player when healthy, but a UFA at next season’s end where he could potentially double his current hit. Don’t really get the appeal.

Not saying I don’t agree with Ottawa not wanting to send major roster player out. I agree.

However, calling a 30 year old goalie just one year removed from Vezina and an undeniable key part of best goaltending duo in League an “aging goalie” is on the mark. Not even close.

By the time the Sens are ready to compete he will be 35.
