Not planning on doing prospects stats this year, but just wanted to say Vilmanis has six assists his first seven games
That being said he scored one goal and added two assists last night to be named second star of the game. Give him 9 points in his first 8 games this year

Charlotte (1-1-0) with their first win of the year, a 4-1 W in a rematch vs Wilkes-Barre to even the season series at one a piece. It was Dalpe's 500th AHL game, nice little milestone for him. He had 2 helpers in the game and so did Kinnunen, we may have something in him.

Guzda with a solid performance, stopping 32/33, including 4 PKs.
**1st star of the game**

Asplund goal:

Patrick Khodorenko's 1st of the year, he added a 2nd goal [ENG] later on:

Lockwood pops a greasy garbage goal in:

Lindmark seems to be making the most of his special fifth year college eligibility in the NCAA with Wisconsin.
He has 3 points in his first 3 games, 2 goals.
This will be a big year for the former fifth round pick in 2019.

That’s a guy I had a lot of hope for when we drafted: maybe his slow progress could be due to Covid?

He missed the last quarter of the 21 season and the first 3/4 of the 22 season. Not sure of the reasoning, though.
Good to see him off to a good start this year for his special COVID exemption year. He will be without a contract at the end of the year.
He is really good at faceoffs, and PK. Everything else is a bonus with him.

Knight with 2 goals allowed on 31 shots for the W. He was first star. For all the negative ones out there he did get beat glove side once.

Just adding some context.

Charlotte outshot 31-18, Marlies went 0 for 6 and goalie is best/worst PKer.
Big game for Knighter and he's pulling some Luongo type moves

We beat both Leafs teams this week

Carlsson scored, Samo got primary assist, Kinnunen gets his 5th helper already.

Benning with a PP goal from McAllister, both their first point of the year.
What a shot though!?!

Charlotte [3-3-0] with a pretty sound 5-2 W vs Bridgeport in Ludovic Waeber's AHL debut, he stopped 27/29 and the only two goals allowed were on PK.

**Knight was a healthy scratch**

Kinnunen grabbed another assist, up to 7 assists in 6 games now.

Carlsson had a goal (2nd) and an assist (1st), Jack Wise also potted a goal (2nd) and assist (3rd) so he's up to 5 pts in 3 games in his rookie season [he did play two games with Charlotte last year]

Brind'Amour (1st pro goal), Asplund (2nd),and Kiersted (1st) were the other goal scorers.
Sourdif had a secondary assist (2nd) on Asplund's PPG.

Carlsson's goal:

Jack Wise goal:

Charlotte [4-3-0] with back to back wins over Bridgeport, this time a 2-0 win for Knight.
A real nice save from him below:

Both Charlotte (0 for 6) and Bridgeport (0 for 7) were held goaless on the PP.

Carlsson gets his 3rd of the year from Sourdif (3rd assist) and Mayhew (4th assist).

Wise nets his 3rd already (3 game goal streak) from Khodorenko (2nd assist) and Perlini (2nd assist)

This was a rough one, Dalpe had a fight and there were multiple cross checking and roughing penalties throughout the game.

Thank you. Couldn’t figure out the media for that Knight save lol

Knight got sniped from center ice. Thanks Tallas. Still won the game despite not playing great. Had an assist. Knight seems to either be stellar or pretty bad.

Other goal scorers were Dalpe (2nd), McAllister (2nd) and Carlsson (4th).
