Nause scored his 3rd goal in 2 games.

Since his return from Canada's junior camp, he has 3 goals and 5 assists in 4 games.

He pissed at being cut?
Great to see. We need badly for some of our D prospects to make it and exceed expectations; hopefully Nause can be one of them.

Anything he needs to work/focus on?
How's his speed and skating overall?

His decision making is his biggest flaw. He tends to do too much sometimes or create turnovers that could have been easily prevented with the simple play. Although recently he has been really good with the puck and this flaw hasn't shown much.

He's a good skater and he's quick to join the rush as you could see 2 of his last 3 goals were scored around the net.

He didn't look pissed, disappointed maybe. He had a good camp so maybe he saw that he didn't look out of place among the best junior defenders in Canada and it gave him a confidence boost.

He'll definitely need to improve his timing to decision making then, as you know, each league above leaves less and less time with the puck.

Been ages since we've developed and promoted a good defenseman (outside Weegar) so here's hoping he has the work ethic to keep fine tuning his game.

Appreciate the updates as always.

Charlotte with another win last night, think that's 4 straight after a 5-6 game losing streak IIRC.
They sit at 16-11-3 on the year and 3rd in their division now.

Denisenko really starting to heat up offensively after a really slow the first 13 games with 1 goal and 3 pts.
His next 13 games he's gone off for 5 goals and 12 pts.
6 goals and 15pts in 26 games on the year so far doesn't scream he's ready for NHL but he has been more noticeable in those NHL games this year than years prior.

Still holding out hope he can become a more consistent offensive threat and develop into a 3rd line winger capable of 10-12 goals and 35 pts one day?

Also, Guzda (rookie G) is having a pretty solid start to the year on a team that's given up 10 more goals than they've scored despite being 5 games over .500.

He had one really bad start in a game on December 16th where he allowed 2 goals on 5 shots and was pulled but otherwise he's sporting encouraging numbers so far.

Lyons numbers on the year as well for comparison

Charlotte with another W last night, led by Denisenko who scored two (his 7th and 8th goals) and his primary assist set up the eventual game winner in the 4-2 victory, in which they were down 2-0 and scored 4 unanswered.
The PP went 0 for 7 though which is currently ranked 5th in the league.

5 goals and 8 pts in his last 5 games for Denisenko, good to see he's turned his year around. 8 goals and 18 pts in 28 games but he has 7 of those goals and 15 of those points in his last 14 games

Guzda with another win, a light night but stopped 20/22 and has posted a 2 GAA on his current 3 game win streak.

Ludvig has 3 assists in his last 4 games, got one of them last night, now with a goal and 6 pts in 14 games.

Santuu Kinnunen with his 4th goal and 16th point in 30 games, over a .5 ppg as a rookie defenseman

Charlotte beat Atlantic leading Hershey 3-1 last night with the help of Heponiemi, who scored his 7th of the year while assisting on the other 2 goals (1 ENG) so that's a nice 2 pts to boost some confidence and moves them to 18-12-3 on the year.

Kinnunen had an assist on the GWG and has 3 goals and 7pts in his last 10 games.

Kinnunen might be the next call-up candidate if the mgmt doesn't have much faith in Carlsson.

I'd assume Staal and or Gudas are on the block, for whatever they get us, maybe a 5th and 3rd rounder respectively from a contender?

After that, they need to play some tweeners and get them 5-10 games or so and see what they can do.

I'd call up several players but the deal breaker for Zito seems to be that this is the Stall farewell tour and nothing cannot impede that from happening. Smart asset mgmt would indicate that both Gudas and Stalls should be traded for a playoff team but Zito is a GM of a different kind of breed.
I don't see Gudas coming back in the next season so maybe Kinnunen could play bottom pairing minutes/be the 7th dman for the Panthers and save that Gudas-cap space for a top4 dman.
