6 goals for Nashville and their best player Tomasino finally gets on the board.

Always the way it is. Tonnes of hits one game and very little the next. Rinse and repeat. Btw Belt sucks. 2ks, 5 left on base. He has one thing to do.

Lol you guys are all way too hard on Buck. He's a nice old man with a great voice. He's got a love for the game and appreciation for our team. So he's not a scientist...

The problem is that most of the time he's a curmudgeonly anti-intellectual who trashes stats or changes to the game just because they aren't what he came up with or he doesn't understand him.

I don't need him to give a treatise on the finer points of park factor calculations, but I do want him to stop whinging about catching on 1 knee or how wins are the real measure of a pitcher's ability.

I most like Buck. I think the discussion on Jays broadcasts about pitch selection and batter approach are some of the best I've ever seen in any MLB broadcast. That part of it is really good.

But when he goes into nostalgia mode about how the game was better back in the day ... ugh. It's painful.

Velocity is incredibly effective. Of course there might be the odd guy who throws 100 who isn't effective because he can't hit the strike zone, but the pitchers of today are eons better than what batters faced in the 1980s. The average 1980s pitcher throwing an 85 MPH fastball would get destroyed today in AAA.

This team is so f***ing shit defensively still.
Why? Cause Chapman made an error he'll barely ever make? Or cause Biggio had to hustle a throw after making a great play to just keep it in the infield?

Seems a bit of silly a take.

Oh look, another 2 guys left on base. Felt like a good time for Kirky to come in for Biggio.
1 hit and 10 walks after 8. Only themselves to blame today. So many left on base.
