You are absolutely right. Just really annoyed me yesterday seeing same old Bo in the field. We definitely need him to better if we are to win the World Series.

Everyone really gets down on his defense, but its not *that bad*. He was a positive defensive player last year based on fangraphs defensive value and he's typically fine if not very good for the most part at simple plays and catching the ball. He really just struggles when he rushes the play or when he's trying to make a throw while his body is moving to the right (away from 1B). The errors are glaring, but besides that he's plus in my book.

I personally don't think he needs to move off SS, but he does need to realize that eating the ball has serious benefits, and he needs to learn that running with the ball away from 1B doesn't work for him. Either learn the Tulo jump, learn to plant the feet, or eat the ball.
