I think Berrios will be good tonight. If Bassitt and Kikuchi can have good outings, why can't Berrios? No excuses for him tonight.

Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. He'll be proclaimed garbage and dumped on the same trash heap as Bassit after last night's 1st inning.
Zach Thompson is probably the next starter up because he's on the 40-man. Bowden Francis might be most deserving at this point, though.

Difference is Berrios has been bad for a while. Keep also in mind the Jays are looking for a number 3 someone who can pitch in playoffs againt la creme de la creme i.e. not a two batters team with no deapth like Anaheim. Bassit did better yesterday but it was not really a top 3 worthy start. It's the kind of start you expect from a top 3 stuggling so there's at least that.

I don't know what you expect. 6IP, only 2 hits given up. 2 earned runs. A few too many walks, tho. If this is his line all the time, wouldn't you take it?

I very much enjoy that it seems like the Jays have made later Saturday starts (noon PT instead of 10-10:30am PT) a regular thing. It sucks having to rush on the weekend to get up, get breakfast, and get settled before first pitch.
