I remember him on the raiders team we beat in the snowI remember Tyrone Wheatley Sr. playing RB for the Giants. Just another reminder that I'm old.
Ya Gasper was saying yesterday on the Saturday show that there was a good amount of OL available back some months ago but they all got scooped up quickly and Pats did nothing.I think Rieff is still hurt and won't play in the opener.
Pats should of shored up their OL in the BEGINNING of the summer, not the end. But alas
Unlike a certain in Miami, at least they have taken measures.I think Rieff is still hurt and won't play in the opener.

What Mac struggles with is too important for him to be anything more than a bottom 10 level starting qb in the league. I don't think the gap between that and solid backup which Zappe has shown so far is that much. Ideally neither are your starting qb.I honestly think there is a substantial gap between the two and I don’t think that Mac Jones is that good
A kindergarten offense made Mac regurgitate the football constantly? It just doesn't make sense that Zappe could do just fine as a rookie compared to 1st round Mac in his 2nd year. They were both under the tutelage of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb. But regardless, fresh start for Mac. But he better start strong or it will get ugly at Gillette again. The fans aren't gonna take anymore turnover fests.Last year Zappe was the right kind of QB for a kindergarten offense with predetermined throws or one read plays similar to what he ran in college.
With BOB and a pro style offense, that demands the QB make pre snap reads, audible out of bad plays and situations, go through multiple progressions in a drop back. Mac is the easy best choice here for this system
I don't think the phrase making an immediate impact means being Rhamondre Stevenson. I think the point would be Pierre Strong couldn't serve as a backup. There's a very large gap there. He's not talking about being an impactful fantasy player. While I don't think it's that big of a deal they absolutely bungled the RB position in letting Harris go to Buffalo but not having a competent internal replacement. But ultimately I don't think backup RB will have much of an impact at all on how this team does. That will come down to the OL and if Mac Jones is ready to stop pouting.
The entire team was pouting last season for good reason. It was like a guy bagging groceries all of a sudden being Chief of Surgery. It was never going to work, to to allow Bill to hire Pencil dick to run an offense was f***ing embarrassing as a fan.
Well he's not wrong is he?Trollin' Ben Volin still up to his old tricks
