I'd use a different word: embarrassing.

They've got some good building blocks on the roster, farm has been rebuilt, and the payroll has been cleaned up. It should be one of the most desired jobs in baseball. But it isn't, because FSG has absolutely crushed their reputation.
Of course you are right about FSG, but there are other factors. There are deserving internal candidates, like Romero, who are tough on outsiders. The farm system is only built up about halfway, and Bloom's mess is probably going to take a minimum of three years to fix.

The longer this goes on the more likely its just going to be Romero with major influence from Cora in personnel decisions.
Yes

Buddy told me Cora was livid they didn’t resign Eovoldi - Bloom basically blew him off

Cora naturally loves him for 2018

Cora was bitching to someone about this when Texas in and also mentioned Wacha - Bloom and Cora had serious issues over this

As pitching got worse and fell apart Cora more irritated relationship got even worse

Cora's management in August was very questionable, it makes me wonder if things like the Barraclough game were intentional to embarrass Bloom.

We been hearing about Eddie Romero Jr for years so let’s find out

Cora actions when Eovoldi was back seemed to be taking shot at Bloom

If that's the case (and I'm not saying it is...) then that's not a guy I want managing my team.
Barraclough said Cora was going to take him out but said his arm was fine even if results weren’t - he asked to stay in

Sale didn’t give them innings that game and Baraclough knew it was him as long guy

I’d love to see Houston get swept.
Me too. But that's because my little brother is the head Grounds Crew guy for the Rangers.

After the heartbreak of 2010, and losing the WS again in 2011, I'd love to see him (and the team) finally get a ring.

I'm definitely going down there for the WS if they win the AL pennant this year. Funny thing is, he wanted to make plans for a golf trip at the end of October. When I asked him "what about if you guys make it to the WS?" he laughed and said he wasn't too worried about that.

Hopefully they prove him wrong.

Texas 196 losses between 2021 & 2022.

Now in the ALCS and looking good.

It’s not impossible.

He's glad they have a retractable roof now. No more Texas thunderstorms to deal with...I used to do that during the summers when I was home from college. Got flipped 10ft in the air once, when I forgot to let go.

Here's a video of my brother's right hand man, Devo, back at the old ballpark. My bro is the guy in the grey sweatshirt watering down the infield at the 15sec mark...

That’s really cool.

I‘m pulling for them!

This seems more plausible to me than the tin foil hat crew saying Cora gave up on the team that night. There was even reporting at the time about guys not being available--reporting that was never disputed by anyone.

Alex Cora very well might hate Chaim Bloom. But I don't think he's a vindictive a-hole who would use a nobody like Barraclough who is just trying to hang on in the big leagues as a vehicle to make that point. If Cora has that kind of stuff in him I think we would have gotten some tidbits thrown out there by Chaim Bloom's camp.

The Athletic's Chad Jennings reports that in addition to former Rangers President Jon Daniels, Phillies GM Sam Fuld, Dodgers GM Brandon Gomes, and Twins President Derek Falvey have all declined interviews with the Red Sox.

Minnesota GM Thad Levine apparently interviewed today. Former Astros President James Click is still believed to be in the running as well. The team's interest in Kim Ng was described as "unclear".

And then there's this from Rob Bradford:
