Pageau sucks move along. Just sign Peter Stastny for 775 k for a year and hope poitras makes it next year . Trading debrusk for pageau is a pink slip offense.
We’re calling DeBrusk an elite scorer now?
Not sure he’d give up retirement from Parliament for one year but worth a shot I guess.Pageau sucks move along. Just sign Peter Stastny for 775 k for a year and hope poitras makes it next year . Trading debrusk for pageau is a pink slip offense.
No the rumor was stating that the Islanders want an elite scorer for Pageau. I would still like to think the Bruins could get more for DeBrusk than a 30-35 point third line center making 5m a year for 3 more years at 30.We’re calling DeBrusk an elite scorer now?
Already debunkedGot this from a buddy today. Due to this picture some folks are saying that Bergeron is retiring. Apparently people are saying that the letter on Marchand's jersey is a "C" and not an "A" thus confirming that Bergeron is retiring
IDK how anyone can tell what letter is on there, I can't make out anything

Already debunked
Stills from the shoot were released that clearly show an A. Which is now causing people to go the other way and go SEE BERGY IS COMING BACK BECAUSE MARCHY IS STILL AN A. In the end it means nothing either way.Got this from a buddy today. Due to this picture some folks are saying that Bergeron is retiring. That makes no sense, why would we trade Debrusk for a worse 3C than the one we already have?
I'm agreeing with you.it doesnt.
from production to contract to age.
Im calling bullshit

All I ask is: no cap penalty next season.
Any web site that wants me to actually pay to read Haggs and imparts to me only knowledge regarding the volume of "mature singles in my area" and a single "simple trick" to rid myself of belly fat, is not worth my time, or any person not in a coma/vegetative state. Here is how this became a rumor:
- Kevin Kurz who covers the Islander for the Athletic said:
"GM Lou Lamoriello hinted at the potential for more “hockey trades” during his press conference on July 1st."
- NYI Hockey Now writer runs with this statement and writes and article basically saying:
The Islanders could open trade talks by offering a package of Pageau and Wahlstrom to the Bruins in exchange for DeBrusk because DeBrusk asked for a trade a couple of years ago
So its just some random writer throwing stuff against he wall to generate articles for their crappy website. The funny thing is Rosen also writes for NYI Hockey Now.....the same place that the "rumor" started from. This is also the same company that has Boston Hockey Now with Jimmy Thin Skin as their superstar writer. That should tell you just how much credibility they have.
As covered in the Prospects thread, what an embarrassingly poorly written and edited article.
They could trade us the center they would rather play on the wing. The other day on NHL center Ice they were throwing around the idea if Pageau being a good fit for the Bruins. It basically was centered around the Isles having so many centers
If you said every single season that they should have traded _____ for ______ reason, for any single team in the league, and used the benchmark of them not winning the cup as being correct, then you're going to be correct pretty much every time, since teams rarely win multiple cups anymore.
If I'm understanding you correctly here, you are saying, as an example, that they were better off in 2019 trading Chara and Krug to recoup assets and not even making a cup run than they were getting to game 7 of the cup since they didn't win anyway?
But the thing is if they do what you wanted them to do they would have had no chance at the cup, likely for multiple years, which by your own logic it is a failure to not win the cup?
I just think when you have a top team like they have this past decade you dont blow it up and hope you can someday be good again. It's being offered a mystery box and a boat but taking the mystery box because it could be better than a boat.
Woops paul. Peter was solid though one of the best. Not sure he’d give up retirement from Parliament for one year but worth a shot I guess.
