Why has MS being identified as a contributing factor in poor leadership for the Jets?Would be a very solid pickup. Could get behind that, if it comes to fruition.
No thanks.

Maybe there is something in the water over in the Peg. Maybe, it is Schief. Why has MS being identified as a contributing factor in poor leadership for the Jets?

Yup, worthwhile risk imo. Especially if Bergeron is still here and the culture remains strong.Maybe there is something in the water over in the Peg. Maybe, it is Schief.
Sometimes, a change of scenery/locker room is necessary. I wouldn't hate a move like that.Yup, worthwhile risk imo. Especially if Bergeron is still here and the culture remains strong.
I chalk it up to the Canadian media being shocked and appalled after Scheifele gave Jake Evans a bird's eye view of his own colon. Why has MS being identified as a contributing factor in poor leadership for the Jets?

I don't know enough about it. But what I have heard is that entire leadership group in winnipeg, including Blake wheeler, has been a mess. Terrible. Which is why they want to get rid of all of them. I don't want a guy like that on my team.I chalk it up to the Canadian media being shocked and appalled after Scheifele gave Jake Evans a bird's eye view of his own colon.
If you hurt a Habs player, you must be the devil.
I forgot he did that, that was so mean and malicious. I loved itI chalk it up to the Canadian media being shocked and appalled after Scheifele gave Jake Evans a bird's eye view of his own colon.

You and me both.I forgot he did that, that was so mean and malicious. I loved it
That was such an awesome hit.I chalk it up to the Canadian media being shocked and appalled after Scheifele gave Jake Evans a bird's eye view of his own colon.

Don Sweeney’s just getting started cutting down Bruins’ payroll with Taylor Hall/Nick Foligno deal - The Boston Globe
Salary cap worries could cost the current roster some combination of Matt Grzelcyk, Linus Ullmark, Jeremy Swayman, Tyler Bertuzzi or many others.www.bostonglobe.com
Murphy: Bruins Not Done Clearing Cap Space
The Boston Bruins have begun what everyone in and around the NHL expects will be a series of salary cap space-clearing moves on the NHL trade market. In what can only be described as a salary cap dump, the Boston Bruins were able to unload winger Taylor Hall and his $6 million cap hit in […]bostonhockeynow.com
On that team, Nick would certainly wear an A, deservedly so.I know KDP has it in with jacobs, but my god I couldn’t read any further into an article where he calls Nick foligno an ideal fit to be a captain

Ullmark to Leafs for Bruins 1 back
How about…
Ullmark to Pit for a 1st
DeBrusk, Frederic and a 1st for Lindholm and Hanifin @50%
Grzelcyk (now expendable due to Hanifin) to Chi for a 2nd
B’s sign Bert to 6/$36m
B’s sign Wood to 2/$4m
B’s sign Hathaway to 2/$3m
B’s sign Lucic to 1/$1m
March Lindholm Bertuzzi
Lauko* Zacha Pastrnak
Wood Coyle McLaughlin
Lucic Beecher Hathaway
X:Greer
Hanifin McAvoy
Lindholm Carlo
Forbert Mitchell
Zboril Regula
Swayman Bussi
$2.6m in cap space (over $12.5 at the deadline to upgrade top6 wing). And a 2nd round pick in this year’s draft.
*Or Merkulov/Lysell or flip with Bertuzzi
**Also could potentially move Ullmark and Gryz to Chi for a 1st and 2nd. They have two 1sts and four 2nds.
The draft is tomorrow so not even half a week. From last night pre award interviews.
Sounds like Ullmark knows he could be traded
Should be an interesting week, leading up to the draft
Cant win without being deep down the middle.I thought you were on point in another post related to acquiring Lindholm where you said that Stanley Cups are won with 26 year old first line centers, not over 30 guys.
I don't see acquiring a center as a must have. I saw this team play well enough (and win!) against Florida without Bergeron or Krejci. We should keep the structure of that lineup as much as possible, and supplement with young talent in the bottom six/ bottom pair where they belong.
I did the rough math and I think the follow lineup squeaks under the cap.
Marchand/Coyle/DeBrusk
Bertuzzi/Zacha/Pastrnak
Lauko/Frederic/Merkulov
Greer/Beecher/McLaughlin
Forbort - McAvoy
Lindholm - Carlo
Zboril - Regula
Ullmark
Swayman
There's also an option here to move out Ullmark for a 1st that can be used to make a big acquisition at the deadline. Potentially that top six center or an impactful 3rd line forward.
I doubt #48 is getting you a 2nd by himself.I would be a little disappointed if we didn't get at least a second for Gryz
Giving the Leafs a competent goaltender sounds like a bad idea.
He will fit in perfect with their constant choking in the playoffs
