As a side note, 2015 also looking pretty stacked too though. Mcdavid, Eichel, Marner, Chabot, Barzal, Erikssom Ek, Rantanen, Werenski, Provorov, Meier, Connor, Boeser all in first round!! That’s like 8-10 all stars right there

Well, ok, lets just say that Carlsson is my favorite prospect of the bunch without pencilling him #1 over Bedard, thats too early anyway. Maybe Im biaised because as I grew up in my teens, Peter Forsberg was my favorite hockey player and I see alot of him in Carlsson.

That's the way I see it, too. Carlsson is my favourite so far, but I don't have him no.1.

Not the right thread, but just wanted to talk a bit about Mintyukov from the last draft, who I had ranked 5th OV. Kid is now listed at 6"3 almost 200 lbs, has 9 pts in 4 games so far with Saginaw. Ridiculous.

Where do you have him ranked at that point? For me thats top 3, but I have to watch Fantilli more.

Ignoring Michkov for obvious reasons, 2nd. I have to watch Fantilli more as well, who I think has the better physical tools than Carlsson, but isn't as smart. It'll take a while for me to make a definitive choice between the two, but for now I prefer Carlsson.

Depends where Florida ends up in the standing, I wouldnt be surprised bottom 10, their line-up has been weakened alot.

It's such a crazy draft to have two first round picks in. Really stoked about the possibilities.

I know, he's been looking proper insane. I flip flopped between him and Jiricek a lot and man... It may be an early knee-jerk, but Mintys sure looking like he's every bit as good, if not better than David.

Adam sure looks more filled out, and he has that sasquatch thing going for him (Don't ask me to explain, thats a term I got labeled with early in my football career and its remained, lol.) but Carlsson is just as tall (Taller ?), just as fast, more agile and has the frame to fill out. Carlsson has that Malkin body, could be an insane player.

I hope Cole keeps all his goals for the Panthers games, I hope the Habs finish 4-78 and all the wins are against the Panthers .

Pretty sure Leo Carlsson would burn the WHL as well, kid is almost 1PPG in the SHL...

I love Bedard and would be ecstatic to get him, but Leo Carlsson is also an elite level talent who has the physical advantage on Bedard.

Call me crazy, but my #1 is Carlsson.

I think we all love both Bedard and Carlsson, its not like a last year situation where I was just not a Wright fan. I would be ecstatic with either of them.

Yup. He's just started, so Carlsson & Bedard have had a head start. He's already come out & said he wants to be the #1 pick.

I'm curious to see how his year goes.

IMO, Bedard, Carlsson & Fantilli are the top 3.

With a 2nd level of Yager & Allen. And maybe Sale. Haven't decided on him yet.

Cristall is a huge outlier. Ranked late 1st, he's absolutely eating up the WHL right now.

Thats a reasonable post, Bedard will be hard to move off the #1 spot, but thats a really strong draft, so nothing set in stone yet.

My dream scenario with our 2 1st round picks is one of the big 4 forwards (Bedard, Carlsson, Fantilli, Michkov)

And then Cam Allen or Lukas Dragicevic with the Florida pick depending on where it ends up.

You have to do a little fist pump when Madden Jr. takes your guy.

Funny cause the Ducks picked Gaucher at 22nd right after, and most of us wouldn't have taken him with any of our first 3 picks.
