But Fucale was not even average in size (and he became an NHL goaltender, maybe). D'Aigle is 1 standard of deviation larger than average by NHL Standards at 15!

This was at 15 and 16, so I thought he might grow more.

By the time he was in the NHL draft, i didn't really think he was a great goalie prospect.

2023, Florida
2024, Dvorak at the deadline this year (I think teams will trade their 2024 first ahead of their 2023 this year)
2025, Dach (because Bedard)

We're not getting a top 16 pick from Florida in 2023. That pick is most likely in the 20-32 range. Still some good players there, but no Allen type.

Yeah, we could get a 2024 1st for Dvorak.

We're not trading Dach even if we get Bedard. However, according to the Monahan trade flowchart, we'll get a 2025 pick from Calgary.

2 firsts in 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 will definitely help with the rebuild including the high 2nds we'll get for being bad (got Beck already).

I was half joking from the start, of course getting all these players is nearly impossible.

I fully expect that Dach will be expandable once we draft a better center. Unless Dach outplays Suzuki (I doubt that). We'll still have to manage the cap. I guess it depends on how much Slafkovski gets paid after his ELC.

We'll see how Florida goes this year, they are on the edge of falling apart or be good, hard to tell.

Anyone wondering why we should absolutely tank should watch this.

A top 3 pick is a must, an absolute must.
Might need another tank year too for Kiviharju. The defense is fugly with no true #1 star, well at least nobody is showing that yet.

Meh, I have faith in scouting to get us a top pair D without a top pick. Weber, Petry, Markov, Subban, Streit and co.

Dach could also be that trade chip for a top D if he starts profucing.
Petry and Streit are not a #1 dman on a stanley cup contender. We drafted Subban forever ago and Markov a million years ago. Weber doesn't count, we gave up a top pair D for him. Unless a guy like Guhle, Mailloux, or Hutson explodes that's gonna be a big hole.

Where you getting the extra top 10 in 2023? And, the extra 1st in 2024?
Imagine they deal couple of guys at deadline? Or draft. Edmunston I imagine. Defensemen usually fetch overpayment then. Probably Chiarot return. Dvorak maybe also. Monahan. I'd like to get couple extra seconds for this draft as it is deep

I mean we are still right in the middle of rebuild. Not like you will have all positions filled with a #1C #1D and #1G at the start of a rebuild…people forget rebuilds take time. It’s not 1-2 years
