Eiserman tied Ovechkin's goal scoring at u17s. Both got 12 goals. However, Ovechkin did that in 5 games. Eiserman in 7.

Ilya Kovalchuk and Colin White are next on the list at 10 goals. Caufield had 8 goals.

He would have the points record but Hagens beat him to it. Record was 18 pts held by Colin White. Hagen finished with 21 pts (7 games). Eiserman with 20 pts.
Holy shit what ever happened to Colin White? He was talked about in the same breath as Connor and Boeser.

Dragicevic is having a monster year. We badly need a potential top pairing RHD.

There are definite concerns about his defensive game. He's a bit clueless around his own net, and on the cycle. He tends to watch & react rather than act positively on the play. He's fantastic in transition and on the point though.

I feel like we have a similar player in Hutson except Dragicevic is bigger. I don't see top 2 upside. Top 4, PP QB needing some sheltering.

I'm definitely watching his progression this year. See what improvements he makes, especially on D.

I know, right? Some players best days are u18. They don't really translate to professional hockey. White is one of those.

Oliver Moore over Gauthier and Dragicevic easily for me. Dont know enough about Hrabal and I will keep a close eye on Strbak at the WJC.

I also think Oliver Moore is flying under the radar. Really like what I saw from this kid so far.

Well, glad to see others have jumped on the Oliver Moore train. Felt like I was the only poster putting his name out there.

I think it’s a conscious decision to play a wide open style at D-1 and after being drafted focus on playing NHL style defence D+1. It happens often enough that either their agent or others near the player are advising him to do it for it to be coincidental.
The second part is my thoughts. I messed up the posting.

I was like, when the f*** did I say that!

I mean you definitely want to show offensive aptitude your draft year. Defense can be taught.

I need to see a lot more engagement from Dragicevic defensively. He loses body position quite a lot, and tends to rely on his stick to do the work. He will physically engage in the corners, but he often plays a passive containment game, and looks lost when having to play net front.

His shooting skills don't stand out as elite either. Excellent transition skills because of skating ability, and not just speed but his ability to quickly change both pace & direction creating open ice for himself. Really smooth.

Right now, I'm on the fence about him. It'll depend what our picks are, and how he builds his game through the year.

Let's say at the Panthers pick we have these 4 players available, wich one you pick.

Ethan Gauthier RW
Michael Hrabal G
Lukas Dragicevic / Maxim Strbak RHD

I beleive our biggest need would be Hrabal.
Right now I would go in order Hrabal, Strbak, Dragicevic , Gauthier.

I feeling Hrabal right now, G might be our biggest need, and might have the highest upside has a elite #1.

Strbak I had has the 2nd best RD to start the season, Dragicevic is raising and he is great with the puck but when he doesn’t it sometime look like the controler is unplug which is puzzling… I guess it can be fix.

Gauthier I see has a great complementary player, the Gauthier are pretty big gym rats, so with is skills he has the edge right now now sure how it will translate to the next level.

«#13 – Axel Sandin Pellikka, RHD, Skellefteå

My personal favourite player so far this year, Sandin Pellikka is a ton of fun to watch. He’s a mobile offensive defenceman with really quick hands and a hard, accurate shot. Great at walking the line, using the threat of his shot with constant fakes to break defenders’ ankles, allowing him time and space to find the best play. High speed combines with his handling skill and use of fake passes to make him a great option in transition, preferring to carry when possible, rather than making long and predictable passes. Defensively, his rush defence is solid, but in the defensive zone he can struggle a bit to keep up, even at the junior level; he’ll need to work on that to be a very effective defender at the NHL level. (Gray Matter)»

Any MTL fan will look a Barlow play and see Anderson with a bit better passing. We should have very good info on him he is playing on a line with Guindon.

They're not in any way the same.

Barlow is an excellent positional player and clinical finisher. Skating is fine but nothing special. More like Meier, Robertson, Pavelski, Couture if the upside hits.

Anderson is a horse with blinders on. Useless outside of 1-2 rush chances a game. Lost defensively. Cannot play with good players.

Kid is really good, powerful skater, strong puckhandler, great shot, solid in the dots, strong on 200 ft., very high motor and compete level, Whats not to like? A favorite of mine as well.
Most people are like, Moore? Who? Lol

Thank-you! Someone else who thinks he has Meier like upside. Way better hockey player than Anderson especially on the defensive side of the puck. Kid will pk too.

My dream is that Canadiens have a Dallas Stars 2017 type draft, where they got a #1D (Heiskanen), a #1G (Oettinger) and a top line forward (Robertson).

Ours will likely go forward, goalie, defenseman, although it will depend on where our picks are. We really need that 3rd 1st round pick.

The 4 picks between our 1st pick, and 2nd round pick could be game changers for this franchise.

Yes in term of speed Barlow isn’t Anderson or does he have the same blinder as Anderson but with is size and speed in the OHL is it still pretty good even if it isn’t special by NHL standards. He stick handling and shot selection is pretty Anderson like even is it a little better. His playmaking is effective (vs. Anderson nonexistent) but again very little manipulation he just find the open man. There is nothing about is game that is fancy, lot of straight line and everything seem heavy. Anderson might not be the best comparable but it isn’t the worst…

Guarenteed top 10 pick. In the 5-10 range, belongs in the 2nd tiers quite easily.

Think Moore ends up top 10 by the end too.

You have the big 4: Bedard, Fantilli, Michkov and Carlsson. Then Smith, Benson, Barlow, and Moore are in, I think.

That's 8.

That's all I'm projecting for now, like to keep it open for 2nd half.

There's a mix of players for the 2 last two spots, including Yager, Sale & Cristall.

Dvorsky, Allen, Ritchie have dropped.

It will be interesting to watch Salé and Dvorsky at the WJC to see where they stands about against 18/19 yrs old kids. Unfortunately, its going to be pretty hard for the Canadians boys to crack the team this year

Sale is getting hampered by playing for a conservative team that doesn't develop youngsters well from what I've gathered, every time I've seen him I always think there's excellent potential. Not a burner on the wing but good enough skater to allow his vision to go to work.
