I hated the direction of this team, especially at the plate, since they fired Chambliss.
This - and he never understood why he was fired .

Three straight losses.
Losses in nine of last 11.
8-17 since the All-Star break.
23-29 since June 19.

His first 3 championships were with Gene Michael’s guys. Want to give him some credit for that? Go ahead, but it’s clearly time for a new direction.

This is like a less drastic version of The Giants. How long do you go before you finally admit that the old way isn’t working anymore?
Stick had the benefit of not having a Steinbrenner micromanaging personnel decisions.

Back spasms for Taijuan Walker. Doesn't sound serious, which is a relief.

Florial coming up with Cabrera,Holmes on the i.l with back tightness..DJ might be joining him soon

He was given the opportunity to rebuild the team. How many times does he get a shot at this?
If world series titles are your only metric then fine but his teams have missed the playoffs a total of 3 times. The yankees haven't had a losing record in 30 years. Its like with the Rangers, the Yanks will never tank like the astros did for multiple seasons and they're paying the price. Back in the day young stars got traded to the Yanks regularly but now they usually get signed long term and are rarely traded and when they do get traded its to teams like the freakin padres and blue jackets.

If Judge doesn't resign with the Yanks you might blame cashman but it'll be because of Hal IMO.

The Toronto Blue Jackets?

Should Ron Darling's number be retired? Discuss.

I'm usually on board with Buck going to Diaz early, not sure about tonight...
Eh, this is an important game, and we may need him to do it in the playoffs. So tonight is some good practice in a stressful situation.

Huge f***ing hit from Alonso. I guess idk now what the plan with Diaz should be.

Yeah and I mean that's why Buck is managing a Major League Baseball team and I'm... managing an HR department?

I wasn't thinking of it as a six-out save opportunity but since Diaz went so quickly through the inning, I'm more comfortable with the idea. Of course, that hit by Pete makes it a bit easier to handle in either instance.

Management is management. If you can run HF of about 200k users as an admin I’m sure a baseball team of 26 wouldn’t be an issue. :sarcasm:

Thank god

No lead is safe with these Braves

The Mets have had a great season, but this was a must win. It can fall apart quickly. Can’t take the foot off the gas with this team, and even the Phillies who are 13 games over 500. They’re no slouch.
