It's a very interesting time. If the Yankees fall apart, things can go two different ways. It gives the Steinbrenners all the ammo to make wholesale changes.

If they do not, I honestly think the fans could revolt and it could be cataclysmic in nature to the organization.
That doesn't matter either. Yankees tickets are like $6. All the money is in streaming services that people aren't buying for baseball. That's why everyone is doing it.

The best thing that could ever happen to the Yankees is missing the playoffs this year.

It's the only way Cashman goes.

Maybe they can then hire somebody real quick who will get the best player in baseball re-signed.

I already have a headache thinking about Cashman’s end of season press conference where he word salad talks for 90 minutes.

What gets me is that everyone will continue to blame starting pitching.

Starting pitching is the only thing respectable about this team. The only reason they were 55-12 or whatever the f*** it was is because their rotation was immaculate the first half. Of course Cashman decided to straight up downgrade from Montgomery to Montas for literally no reason.

Meanwhile, the offense has been powderpuff for years getting dragged kicking and screaming by Aaron Judge (who we don't need to sign) and the bullpen is thrown together with duct tape.

The Yankees actually convinced themselves that 29 year old AAAA pitcher Clay Holmes was the closer now.

Fire Boone.Do something. This team needs Stanton back badly.

Get rid of Hicks and Chapman too

Signing judge or not is up to Hal. He set the budget and terms for Cashman to offer. The risk from an epic collapse is the Yankees deciding too blow it up but I just don't see the happening.

I'll never get rid of my bleachers.

Good bounce back win against the Phils best pitcher. Much needed with 2 irregular starters tomorrow.

Needed it to keep pace because even the astros couldn’t take down the Braves tonight.

I saw a stat, I think it was that the Yankees were the first team to ever play .700+ ball over their first 60 games and then below .500 over their next 60.

Yankees remind me of the 2005-06 Rangers post Olympics as of this point. There is time to get back in rhythm.

Mets will be fine, they just need to get through this tough stretch healthy. Even if they fall into the WC, they're pretty much guaranteed to get into the postseason and if they have healthy starting pitching and the fact that they actually work pitch counts now makes them very dangerous.

The Yankees have 19 runs in their last 10 games lmao.
And one game was 7 runs, take the outlier out and we’re at 11 runs in 9 games, epic.

Stanton's ass is the missing link.

It's so obvious.
He’s a calming presence, handles the media well, is a leader in the room and was the only guy to show up offesively in that disastrous play in game against the Red Sox.

Fans love to hate on him because he’s not home grown, but aside from some injuries (significant) he’s really performed at expectations for me.

The thing you love to see with the Mets is how they battle. They have off games, for sure, but most nights the opposing SP has thrown 70, 80, maybe even more pitches after 4. They really wear down the arms on the other side.

A split of this four game series in Philly would have been great, given half their rotation is decimated. And it’s looking like they might take the first two.

It's another scary bat in the lineup that opposing teams have to be concerned about other than Judge. The lineup as it is right now is not good. I can't believe Cashman thought all he needed to do was acquire Benintendi and Bader and they would be good to go.

Someone on Twitter posted a stat, not sure if it's accurate, but it said the Mets have faced Nola and Wheeler 9 times this season and won all 9 games. Which, if true, is f***ing bonkers.
