OT: 2023 MLB Thread

Brian Cashman, given top 3 money to construct a WS winning team during the last 10+ years and the best he could do is routinely get embarrassed by teams that invest less than half of that into their franchise...now that's some BS.

And now his agent is out here warning his other clients, including prized free agent Yamamoto to be careful about signing with the Yankees.

This can't be real. He's gotta be Costanza'ing it trying to get fired at this point.

What shots did he take? I know he made the awkward comment about "deep conversations with Gary, Keith, and Ron," but that seemed pretty clearly like something he was asked by the PR guys to say. I don't think he really knows who GKR are.

Its a weird comment for a GM. Its a comment fans and the media make often but not a GM.

Why is it that Stanton is guaranteed to get injured? Is it the law?

Yeah, to me, that felt like a joke that somebody wrote in and Mendoza didn't seem to get it.

There doesn't seem to be any criticism there.

I hope you are right. The Post implied this was a shot at the booth. GKR has been the best thing about watching this team for a few years now.

I'm unironically in favor of putting Bartolo in as a builder for being the greatest meme in sports history.

He's not a HOFer as a player.
