Wow that id disheartening to hear about. It does explain how much he dropped off.

I'm not defending the team doctors but I wonder if Rizzo wanted to keep playing so he tried to gut it out instead of telling the team his symptoms?
He's been hitting like .150 with 1 homerun since the collision 2 months ago that is enough proof that something was wrong.nothing can defend that

Honestly nuts it took the team that long for them to figure out something was wrong with Rizzo. I've seen Yankees fans saying he's almost certainly injured for months now.

Guy has been basically the worst player in baseball since that collision.

You mean it shouldn't take longer than 46 games to determine if a player has a concussion or other issues?

Yankees medical team make NHL concussion spotters look like all-star doctors.

I’ll give the Yankees credit for lining up Judge off days with Severino starts, the games are over in the first inning.

Sevy start going as expected...

If you are going to let him start the 5th, just let him eat it. One batter, of course, a homer, and then you pull him. You have Nestor throwing 60 pitches tomorrow, and Rodon going 4-5 innings.

Maybe by year 10, Boone will have some feel as a manager.

I know we live under a violent God because James McCann has a 5 RBI night against us.

I don’t think McCann drove in 5 runners in his entire Mets tenure.

why do i get the feeling that other then cole opposing hitters are chomping on bits to see if they are going to enjoy having a career night against yankee pitching?

and the same above goes for the mets starters, except senga.

They missed their opportunity not moving Severino to the pen years ago.

He can't handle the duress of starting pitching. It's tanked every one of his seasons and now it's tanking his career.

He's too small to throw at a high velocity at length.

He's 6'-2" and 220lbs - I wouldn't consider that small. He just doesn't have the talent/mental fortitude to be a successful pitcher for a big ass organization like the Yankees where there isn't much room for error with the media/fans
