Maybe he just wasn’t getting a good grip in warmups?

Everyone in the world is outspoken about stuff until they get caught, and sometimes the most outspoken people are just the biggest liars, so I take all that with a grain of salt.
You're right, people are hypocritical as f***, no doubt. It still just seemed off to me. And now I've read the rules on what is and what is not permissible and--particularly in conjunction with some of the other incidents we've seen--it all seems pretty ill-defined and somewhat arbitrary. I mean it is what it is, I guess.

Yeah I guess we’ll see later or tomorrow. Seems strange that he would also have the rosin on his non-pitching hand from what I heard on SNY. So something seems off for sure.

MLB needs to chill the f*** out.

They do this every year. The NHL does this every year in lower leagues. Why is this a surprise? 99% of these random ideas never go anywhere.

I didn't say it was a surprise. I said that after the (apparently) 1% of random ideas were implemented this season, they need to chill the f*** out. Thanks for reading.

On a separate note, does anyone else have a hard time finding the game recap videos on the MLB app? It used to be that shortly after the game, there'd be a game recap video showing all the highlights sequentially. Now I usually only see the individual highlights, which usually aren't in the order they occurred, and the terrible "game story." Am I missing something?

Where do you think these ideas came from? They experimented in lower leagues. Some worked. Obviously they should keep doing so and use those leagues to innovate. They've been experimenting with robo umps and such down there for years. If these new ideas don't look promising there is no loss they will never make the majors.

Guy I know how it works. You don't need to explain it to me. I don't like the new rule changes, I saw an article about more ridiculous rule changes being tested, and I shared it with the comment that I think baseball needs to slow down. Moving on.

Well that seems like an incredibly stupid opinion. You have multiple lower level leagues sanctioned by MLB. Why would you possibly not use them to try things things out?

Why don't we just emulate the Savannah Bananas? No need to even test anything new, they have that shit down pat. I took my kids, and even the teenager who is otherwise a wet blanket found it enjoyable.

THAT is the future of the game, my friend!

I have no idea what you're going on about but if you're arguing against progression and innovation to the point it is not even worth testing things at lower levels that will have zero impact on you I don't even know what to say.

I for one, am still upset that both the NFL and NHL made rules changes to allow forward passes.

You don't know about the Savannah Bananas? Come on, man. They are at the bleeding edge of innovation in baseball!

The Yankees suck

Doesn’t Japan us a stickier ball? Why cant we do that and just eliminate anything in the hands.

Would make it easier than this subjective bs.

Bc the league is stupid. And have convinced everyone that all these pitchers are cheating, even after not doing a thing while pitchers actually were using foreign substances.

This league is hilarious with this stuff.

funny, bc max said he put it on in front of a league official after he washed his hand in alcohol. if he isnt allowed to do that then the official should not have TOLD him to apply it again before he went out. This could all be avoided with some form of communication between the official in the clubhouse and the umpire crew...

I find it very hard to care about this Mets team. It just feels like an overpriced group of old mercenaries that aren't going anywhere.

Except baty, nimmo, alonso, mcneil, alvarez are all youngish and homegrown. And vientos and mauricio should be up soon.

Their pitching staff is old though.
Sure, not saying that there's no redeeming factors (I'm still watching, after all). Games with Baty and Alvarez in are a lot more interesting to me than ones with Escobar and Nido, that's for sure.
