IDK I watched some stuff yesterday and it almost made me uncomfortable, with the clock there in the background, and the guys visibly rushing to get ready.
20 seconds is a bit too short imo. 25 is better, no need to ‘rush’ the pitcher with this, just keep the pace smooth

I read Jeff Passan earlier saying that on TV, you won't be able to see the pitch clock. I feel like that's almost making it worse somehow.

I saw someone say, maybe Passan, that once regular season games start, the clock won’t be seen like that to the viewer at home.

I’m guessing networks will have it in the score bug, but seeing the big clock makes it look like a gimmick.

Edit: just saw you saw same tweet, I’m a derp.

SNY had it on the scorebug when there was <= 7 seconds left. Idk why they decided on 7 when baseball loved the number 9.

I saw other spring training stadiums with the clock blatantly behind the plate but it looked absolutely ridiculous. Passan must be talking about this.

Dreams of an all-out Met spendfest next season are crushed as Machado looks like he is signing a big extension with the padres.

Need advice on my fantasy baseball keeper. I can give a contract 1-4 years long.

I have 1 year left of Yordan Round 5. 2 years left of Bieber Round 11.

I made it to the championship last year and lost so I am picking 11th/12. I think 9 managers have their 1st round pick open so I have pick 9. I have Manny Machado R1, Austin Riley R2 and Triston McKenzie R10.

First I wanted Riley because of age and position but I can probably redraft him R2. McKenzie and Bieber in rounds 10,11 would allow me to go hitters with my first 6-8 picks. But with who is available in the pool, Machado is going top 3-4. Now I can’t decide if getting him at 9 at a scarce position is worth it then I have to find a pitcher early. I can probably land Riley or Arenado in Round 2.

Thoughts?

Boone in midseason form with his bullpen usage. Nice to see.

Boone is to managing what Kravtsov is to Hockey but kind of hard to make this criticism in the spring.

On the plus side, Volpe and Dominguez look phenomenal. Cashman has no balls so there is next to zero chance that the latter starts with the Yankees and the former may not as well either though there is at least a chance with Volpe.

Quintana out until at least July. Frustrating, but it could have been a lot worse as it was a lesion on his rib, that was fortunately benign.

Hates the signing at the time and hate it now. Guy hasn't been very good except last year and he has injury stuff almost every year. I'm glad the lession wasn't anything serious but it's always something w quintana

So many of my friends are already up in arms or freaking out about the Mets and doing their version of what we do with the Middleton, Zubov trades, etc.

The Mets starting rotation is literally going to be like an 11-13 man ensemble this season. It'll be a week to week thing until like September.
