I thought he came back but you're right. Seems like he's stuck in the AHL with a sub .900 sv %.Spencer Knight went in and hasnt been in the NHL since.

I liked him last season when he played against the Avs or the season before. He had a good showing. Was stoked when the Avs got him.Prosvetov looks pretty good as a back up. He looks tall in net and confident too. I wonder if Avs got another steal.
Less money, less term. Similar production. Better record than last year. Not bad.Whoops.

What we should have done is nothing at all. Bring our guys back. And then trade Girard for a 2 million center like Monahan last offseason.

He was hit to head. No surprise he wasn't playing optimally.
Those guys did nothing in the playoffs.Whoops.

And our current guys are just heating up, while I think our ex players have started well but might fade later on. That's would be my guess.Less money, less term. Similar production. Better record than last year. Not bad.
Who is this year's Eller?
Did this with cap friendly, only had a few comments but apparently Byram+ wouldn't be enough but I added Faber just to get a cheaper dman back, who is already equal to Byram.I said this half jokingly in another thread earlier today but honestly CMac should be blowing up Bill Guerin's phone every day right now to try and convince them to blow that team up and send us JEE in doing so.
His cap hit and his skillset is quite literally the perfect fit for our 2C needs. Would instantly extend the window 2-3 more years.
Byram+ or Ritchie + Goulash + or whatever the hell they want. And send Johansen or Manson in the deal to offset salary(Not sure Manson would waive this year to go to the Wild but maybe in the summer).
And the thing is if you get JEE, even if Landy comes back next year, it wont take a lot of work to get cap compliant still. Just need to move one Dman essentially. And then you get to run a Top 9 forward group of:
Nuke - Mack - Mikko
Landy - JEE - Lehky
Wood - Colton - Kovalenko
Way higher odds than ever seeing Landeskog again.Based on absolutely nothing at all, I’m optimistic that G will figure this out and come back.

It wasn't Compher's fault so much as Bednar overplaying him constantly, but I agree. How did they do during last year's playoffs?
I don't care if JTC scores 100 points this season. I'm glad I don't have to watch him play any more
Agreed. He would've been fine as a #3C back then with his 3,5M$ but paying him 5M$ means he's basically your #2C and we know what happened last year and the year we lost to Vegas. It wasn't Compher's fault so much as Bednar overplaying him constantly, but I agree.
He’d be amazing as a 2C for Colorado. Great cap hit also. 26 years old.I said this half jokingly in another thread earlier today but honestly CMac should be blowing up Bill Guerin's phone every day right now to try and convince them to blow that team up and send us JEE in doing so.

From recent memory, both Vrana and McCarron came back in the same season. They missed 1-2 months and entered the program with a similar timing to Girard, pre-new year. How many guys have gone into the program and came out to play the same season? Vrana is the only one I can recall. Bobby Ryan I dont think came back the same year. Carey Price is done. Spencer Knight went in and hasnt been in the NHL since. Seems that more often then not that players that go into the program dont come back the same season and for good reason.
Compher and Newhook are each shooting around 20%, that is not sustainable for either of those players.Whoops.

The Lars Eller trade was the biggest waste of a 2nd round pick I've seen.
