What are the odds Lundestrom gets non-tendered? Only been 10 games back, but he's got 1 point (a goal) and Cronin is playing him nearly 2 minutes below his career average TOI.

He's making $1.8 million AAV and has arbitration rights.
Definitely a good chance they nontender both him and Jones but if either goes on a run to end the year they might keep them

I think in his prime Lundy has all the potential to be an ideal bottom 6 center/PK, but I think that's a few years away and I just can't picture him being the type of bottom 6 Center Verbeek envisions.

Jones is a heart & soul guy, this team needs more of that. I think he has a much better chance of being on the team next season and carving out a role in the NHL.

Unless he goes on a run, I dont think hes back. Gaucher is the guy I think they see long term playing the 3rd line role and they can probably live with a guy like Carrick centering the 4th line for a while. No idea how close Gaucher is or isnt, but I think its possible he gets some serious consideration next season.

Who do you guys prefer. Lacombe or Vaaks?
I feel like this is a trap because if someone doesn't say LaCombe they are going to be receiving an essay on disrespecting LaCombe.

But for me I prefer Vaaks at this stage and see him more of a natural fit if we are assuming our future puck movers are Minty, Zellweger and Luneau.

LaCombe is better offensively and we have seen flashes of some decent offensive potential when he carries the puck while Vaaks will always be the more solid defensive option IMO.

I can't remember who said it, but someone said that Vaaks reminds them of Lydman and I 100% can see that in his game.

I'm actually with you on this. As long as Vaaks is healthy I prefer him in the lineup. I do wonder if there is room for both guys.
