Who do you guys prefer. Lacombe or Vaaks?

Right now it's Vaakanainen. I think he's very underrated. I have high hopes for LaCombe but he seems responsible for at least one goal against every game. He coughs up the puck a lot even when there's no pressure.

Another player who’s hurt a lot and our Gm won’t see that as a trait to hang onto

At this point it's Vaaks pretty easily for me, although I have high hopes for LaCombe and don't think he's been nearly as bad as some people say about him.

It might also be worth remembering that Urho was the 18th pick and is already 25yo. He should be better than LaCombe.

Even with all the time he's missed, Urho still has more than twice the amount of NHL games than LaCombe. Not to mention over 100 games of AHL experience.

Long-term though, it's tough to say.

"Goaltender John Gibson was not present at today's practice due to illness. In his absence, Ducks assistant equipment manager Jeff Tyni filled in. Tyni played club hockey at Cal State Fullerton and has served as an emergency backup in the ECHL, SPHL and NHL."

Congrats to Mr. Lee and congrats on securing the feed "Quack of Dawn". I thought that was exclusive to the Sporting Tribune.

I wonder if the "Quack of Dawn" series is only for home games still or will THN fly him around on away games?

Well alternatively LHD depth might be the strength of the roster right now. Fowler, Mintyukov, and Vaakanainen are legit NHL regulars with Zellweger already earning NHL time.

Interesting that LaCombe and Urho are swapped now with Lyubushkin back. Figure the coaches liked the offense LaCombe brought against MIN and want to see that continue so they kept him with Gudas.
