I baked some sweet rolls last week. So good when they’re warm!

Over the full season Frost led the Flyers in ES scoring.

Not arbitrary, but people who are desperate to downplay Frost will happily ignore it.

Yeah the correct way to frame his accomplishment would be "Frost led the Flyers in ES scoring for the entire season despite low ice time and ineffective linemates the first 15-20 games of the season."

Gaudreau is an excellent Voracek arc comp. He’s still the same very good player he’s always been. He just timed his career year as he was hitting UFA and now the expectations are way out of whack.
He's also facing the age curve, the fact that Giroux has been an outlier doesn't mean most players will be - betting on a player to avoid age related decline is like betting on an inside straight - you'll hit once in a while but it's not a smart strategy.

Basic rule of free agency - career seasons are just that, and odds are they're a random spike rather than an indication the player has reached a new permanent threshold of performance. Pay for future production (expected value), not past production.

Wow, it's already been a year since authentic fans were singing the praises of Zack MacEwen and predicting the Flyers would be in a dogfight for a wild card spot. Where does the time go.

Any news on how Torts is holding Cates accountable for gifting Carolina the GWG with that flakey turnover on Monday?

I have links to the posts that I'm happy to share, but I have a feeling you don't want to actually see these receipts.
Oh, I don't worry abut the posts, it's the "cherry picking" you engage in constantly that's irritating.

A conditioning loan can last for a maximum of 14 days and there are no restrictions on how many games he can play in that stretch (unlike a post-LTIR conditioning loan). While he’s with Lehigh Valley, Sandstrom will count in full against Philadelphia’s salary cap and will technically remain a part of the Flyers’ active roster, meaning they won’t be able to call up a skater to temporarily take Sandstrom’s place.

This is the list of teams with 3 goalies on their active roster.

Anaheim
Gibson - 5 GP
Dostal - 5 GP
Stalock - 0 GP (Emergency Loan)

Detroit
Husso - 7 GP
Reimer - 3 GP
Lyon - 0 GP

Montreal
Allen - 4 GP
Montembeault - 4 GP
Primeau - 1 GP

Philly
Hart - 7 GP
Ersson - 2 GP
Sandstrom - 0 GP (going to the AHL on a conditioning loan)

This one is for you buddy @deadhead

Since he left Philly, he's been essentially a 3rd pair, PP specialist.
Not a bad player, but nothing special either.
I mean who cares.

Sure, AV should have just put him on the 3rd pair and never gotten Risto, but it would have made little difference, the team still would have sucked.
Ghost couldn't make Zona a good team, he wasn't making the Flyers a good team.

Carolina put him on the 3rd pair, let him walk so they could sign TDA at a lower cost.
That tells you want a good team thought of him.
