what I dont get is how tortellini doesnt understand that the organization hired him to develop the young players and that the organization KNOWS that they don't have to make the playoffs this year. He has job security for atleast 3-6 years if he consistently improves this team. Even as a torts hater, I still can respect that he is an NHL caliber coach (definitely outdated) but his attitude is sabatoging himself. Perhaps we could be excited for a wildcard berth if he focused on getting talent out of the players WITH TALENT.

Torts is just banging square pegs into round holes trying to prove that he’s clever. What he’s really showing is that he’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
Cates is a wing so is Farabee. Messing around with them at center just ruins their game. There are other forwards and defensemen playing on their off hand and not doing well. Just cut the crap and go with Couturier, Frost, Laughton and Poehling at center; play the forwards on their proper hand and quit screwing up the entire lineup.
