He didn't call Frost a toilet seat, he was commenting on Frost's inconsistent play, which was up and down "like a toilet seat." Maybe not the best choice of words, but he got his point across.

That's calling him a toilet seat.

"He didn't call him shit, he called him a piece of shit!"

"He didn't say he's garbage, he said he's like garbage!"

What is becoming clearer by the game is how poor of a coach Thompson is. Shaw has been given lemons on defense and has managed to occasionally turn them into lemonade. OTOH, Thompson has managed nothing as far as bringing along the play of the forwards or the PP. Whatever improvements up from have occurred have been due to either the players themselves or others like Briere with TK last season. RT needs to go.

The distinction between calling someone a toilet seat and comparing them to a toilet seat is, and I cannot stress this enough, extremely pedantic, and in no way changes the substance of what beef is pointing out.

No, it's pretty obvious except to those with an agenda, it was a bad use of words, but the meaning was clear, he was talking about Frost's inconsistent play, not about Frost. It take a lot of work to stretch the meaning to become an insult.

Actually, because you want to get pedantic, he compared Frost to a toilet seat, not Frost's play. Not that it matters because both are insulting.

I don't think you would appreciate the nuance between someone saying you're garbage, and someone saying you're like garbage, or even someone saying your actions are garbage. They are all insulting.

Yeah, we know.

Literally everything this man says has to be translated by you into what he “really” means.

Maybe think on that one for a second or two.

Just keep wearing your tinfoil hat. It's all about the Clarke cabal that's being run out of a pizza shop somewhere in Florida. Briere has been secretly injected with mind control drugs and is doing their bidding. Torts signed the ole bois agreement with the blood of a juniors player. Barber has the compromising pictures of Hilferty and is blackmailing him.

I've been wrong all along - there's an obvious conspiracy to pretend to rebuild while they try to revive old Flyers by injecting them with the blood of younger players and bring back the Broad Street Bullies.

You really and actually argued, in lengthy manifesto form, that Tortorella is an offensive guru. Ignoring everything he had ever said and done, and your reward was him announcing that yeah, he doesn't understand offense.

Nobody has ever woven a more ridiculous web of nonsense than that. Claiming the most famously anti-offense coach is actually wildly for it, using all kinds of tortured redefining of quotes and cherrypicking.

So yeah, it is as funny as possible to see you claim anyone has an agenda about Tortorella.

“CUTTING DOWN A SAMPLE SIZE IS RARELY A GOOD IDEA FOR ANALYSIS PURPOSES”

BUT ALSO LET ME TELL YOU WHY FROSTS SCORING LAST YEAR ACTUALLY WASNT THAT GOOD BY CUTTING OUT ALL THE POINTS HE SCORED AGAINST A SPECIFIC TEAM

Is stating Frost led the team in ES scoring over the whole season last season a good enough sample size?

Cates has taken away a lot just from playing against them [Carolina].

"That's a team we want to kind of become like — they're so aggressive, they have such good sticks, their reloads, different things like that," he said. "Dangerous team and ultimately a team that we can kind of become with how aggressive they are and how we're trending and where we want to be.
