you didnt answer the question.

Barring an injury they are LHV bound all year or at least until January 2024.

They are not going to have an opportunity on training camp. Why do you have a hard time seeing this to be the case. Seeler and Staal no matter how they play in camp will be in the starting 6.
pssst.

it happens every year...

Does anyone have the article with the Torts York stuff? Was trying to locate it the other day but wasn't able to
I don't know if it got turned into an article anywhere, but Meltzer casually dropped it in the comments of one of his blogs about a month ago. It was pretty funny because on HBuzz there are people who have based their life around the idea that York was demoted for having a "poor training camp" and then was magically fixed by playing 20 games under superstar head coach, Ian Laperriere.

And you know that if Bill was prepared to come out with something that reflects pretty poorly on the head coach, that it was a genuine issue that he observed or was made aware of by good sources, and not just some rumored incident.

Ah...that's what it was. Thank you!

Meltzer works for the Flyers so I'm inclined to believe him when he gives behind the scenes info that does not cast Flyers management in a positive light.

Last year, York came to camp with a job to lose, got on Torts' bad side, and lost it. (But to his credit, bounced right back and had a good year).

I stand by it. Torts decided very quickly that York was too laid back and casual and was in his face to try to get a rise out of him. Torts, who enjoys confrontation, tried a few times to pick a verbal fight with York, but found him impossible to goad. He came to accept that York does have an inner drive and then they were fine.

Zamula will make the team, Foerster will start in the top 9, Ersson will be the backup goalie.
Attard, Andrae, Brink, Desnoyers, Lycksell depend on how they look in TC.
Ginning, Grans, Wisdom, Avon, Gendron are almost certain to start the season in LHV.

He will be the 7th if he makes it. This is what will happen with Zamula. They will start him on the injured list. Then send him down on a conditioning stint to buy some time.

Ollie has zero shot. The organization does not think highly of him. That's a fact. Nothing more than a fill in call up here and there, if that at this point.

With the exception of the forest and Sam, the math doesn't add up for those others to even sniff making the team. You know this already.

There isn't a spot for Z , how does he make the team ?

Staal and Seeler are LOCKS, Zamula only path is as 7th D.

This will go down as one of the worst D cores ever assembled and we will potentially be getting no young guys experience other than York.
Ristolainen kinda counts. He's a young 28/29. ;)

Also, there's a chance York has another "poor training camp", and he's waiver exempt.

Sanheim-Risto
Staal-Walker
Seeler-Holden
Benn
Zamula (IR)

People talk like LHV is a long way away and it's impossible for a player to be promoted.

It's a short car ride, Briere will be in the stands more than once, and players will have numerous opportunities to win a job, TC, injury call-ups and just plain showing you're too good for the AHL.

People talk like the Flyers hate promoting and using youth, because they have meticulously trained us to know that is how they behave. For many consecutive seasons now.

Zamula will make the team,

They've already decided he will not.

Foerster will start in the top 9,

They have already decided he will not.

Ersson will be the backup goalie.

Far from certain.

Attard, Andrae, Brink, Desnoyers, Lycksell depend on how they look in TC.

It doesn't remotely matter how they look in TC, and besides...it is a highly stupid process to make sweeping conclusions about a player's readiness based on a few practices where the rust is coming off.

Ginning, Grans, Wisdom, Avon, Gendron are almost certain to start the season in LHV.

Along with everyone else you listed

Hmm lemme see

Laughton cooter Atkinson
Farabee frost tk
Tippet poehling Hathaway
Gardner Cates Allison
D-lo

I honestly see that first line happening. A veteran example of guys who play the right way that torts wants the others to emulate
Swap Frost and Cates and you have your authentic Flyers Guy™ lineup.

The York-bulked-up-too-much excuse is the most inane bit of fan fiction you've ever come up with.

The only reason Zamula stayed on the team ahead of York was because Torts went after York in camp on multiple occasions and then punished him for not responding the "right way" to his verbal abuse. The fact that Torts tried to get in York's face and was unhappy with how the 21 year old California kid responded, was confirmed in comments by Bill Meltzer on his blog.
Bro you're arguing with someone who thinks it's a good thing Torts alienates players on his team, as long as the player he alienates isn't Coots.

heres an interesting chart, Seeler and York both show up as 1st pair quality but other Deangelo theres no outliers in the flyers roster in either direction, risto being 3rd pairing quality isnt surprising but York being where he is positive

provorov is almost an outlier, I didnt see him or zamula at first

Anyone else surprised it's Pick #51 for JOB and not the last pick of the 2nd round?

I wonder how that worked?
