Seeler was a solid #6 last season, both TDA and Risto played better with him than other partners, partially b/c of sheltered 3rd pair role, but also b/c Seeler is a reliable partner. Is he more than that, no. But a good partner for someone like Attard while he learns the ropes.
he turned himself into a solid bottom pair dman. Need to give the guy some credit.

Who had the better partners since Covid?

When I would ask what precisely he did to compile that +/- I never got a good answer.

Below is a great answer. [You're] Simply the best. Better than all the rest. Probably, no, definitely the one you've been looking for.

um, he was on the ice for 25 more goals FOR then against

Everyone understands how tracking +/- works. It's comically more simple than counting shots or hits, but thank you for explaining it to us like we're 5.

+/- is not meaningless, it's just limited.

Relative +/- is more meaningful, b/c if you're talking full-time starters they're generally playing in front of the same goalie with the same teammates.
More so for D-men, b/c forwards are likely to be "line and role" dependent, that is, who you play with and who you get matched against.
Where D-men who play a lot of minutes play with various lines.

Ginning had a much higher +/- than any other Phantom D-man by a wide margin.
It could be a fluke, but given the size of the sample, that's statistically unlikely.

This is a fabulous post for explaining why +/- is a silly stat to hang your hat on.

What other sport is there? I am still bitter about losing my local MLB team, have never been able to get into the NFL, the local CFL team is uninspiring, and basketball and soccer are boring.
I am still bitter the Kings took our AHL team out west. I get why they did it but I still hate it. They put their ECHL team in Manchester instead. What a shitty product that was.

What’s holding up the trades?
Trades generally wait until right up to draft day, teams want to shop around and see if they can find better deals, plus they want to see who actually makes it to free agency (always some last minutes signings) so they know what their alternatives might be.

Have you tried College Football? It's like the NFL, except it's gloriously sloppy and there are huge rivalry games all over the place.

Sometimes you get to watch a future NFL star WR be covered by a future gravel salesman. Sometimes a Linebacker completely takes over a game. Sometimes the teams score 5 times in the last 3 Minutes. Sometimes a player comes off the bench in the middle of a play and makes a tackle.

And the best part is that there are always so many concurrent games that you can find a good one when the one you're currently watching is a blowout.

And if you have insomnia, there's always a West Coast game on at 1AM!

I think my favorite overall is when a RB decides to be the Terminator.

I’m going to be so hyped for the Hayes + 2nd for nothing trade in a few days

Thanks, Jojo. I can't say I have given it the old college try (pun intended). Then again, your description is also pretty applicable to the CFL, where the future NFL star WR is sometimes being covered by a present gravel salesman.

The answer to your prayers and enjoyable sport to watch is footy (aussie rules football). It's especially entertaining when they play in the rain and the refs and goal officials are cool.
