Imagine describing Tippett as "dominant"
This first came from Charlie.

But it's like, Charlie, why doesn't the lack of scoring for Tippett count against him if he is a primary offensive contributor? How is he still dominant? Shouldn't dominant player at least have more points than the guy who is just okay? It doesn't make sense.

He said it was eye test. Dude, wtf. If you watched frost play all year and didn't see his obvious skill set, then you don't know hockey...But then again this guy loved Ratcliffe and thinks Cutter is Leon Draisaitl....

I'm also in the "why pit them against each other" category.
I like all three of Frost, Tippett and Cates. I would like it more if this team idealized their usage so that they can all succeed to the best of their abilities.
Not a fan of picking favourites, especially when it involves cutting down good players, but I don't blame people for picking favourites when the team does it themselves.

It's not about picking favorites, it's about pointing out the hypocritical narratives that are incredibly obvious when you have three 24 year old forwards playing on the same team getting about the same minutes.

For example, when someone is extraordinarily concerned about Frost's alleged defensive issues, or his supposed lack of production at ES, while having literally nothing to say about Tippett's defensive struggles or Cates' relative lack of ES production.

It’s really hard to get a true evaluation of any of the Flyers based on last season’s performance. Aside from the injuries which decimated some positions forcing guys to be used out of position, there was little continuity of partners on the ice. I wrote the last season off as being an 82 night extended training camp.
If Torts continues into the upcoming season with the same attitudes it will be unacceptable. Lines and pairs need to be created and utilized. The throw it up on the wall to see if it sticks stuff should be over. If that doesn’t happen, Torts should permanently go to the stables.

Yeah, weird how frost detractors usually have Cates penciled in as a second line center despite the fact he produces offence as a low end 3rd liner/4th liner. Never a peep about those numbers.
