I live every day on these boards wondering who Jake is. You know he's a daily user on here. One of you is Jake, the gig is up...
Hey guys - Canes fan here….
I’d love to get Konecny on our team. Those of you that were on our Playoff bandwagon could see the obvious need for what he brings.
What would it take on our end? No prospect we have is off the table, except for Nikishin.
Getting Hart might be of interest, as well. While Freddie was good for us, overall, he is getting older & hasn’t exactly been Mr Durability.
Thanks!
Deal. How dare you com here assuming we're just bandwagoners. For that, we insist on us throwing a 3rd into any deal that you offer.
Have that!
Welcome to the second Canes board.Hey guys - Canes fan here….

Edmonton would have to send us Campbell. They absolutely can’t have his contract taking up space while they go for a Cup.To Edmonton: Carter Hart
To Philly: Evan Bouchard and a '23 #2. Enough?

Maybe we will be the first NHL team who wins 1:0 15 times a season. Pk specialist will get signed prioritizing dman at the draft, Seeler stayed, Laughton stayed, Couts comes back, we have a defense only Center in Cates. I can see it coming. We will score the fewest goals ever but will be hard to play against cause we only suffer 1 goal most nights! Before they can have good forward depth they need actual top end forwards. You know the easiest way to build good depth? Keep bringing in good players that push each other down the lineup. Identifying the overlooked gems is hard, and well beyond this team's skill level.
The Flyers meanwhile backfill until the dumpster overflows upwards. The full opposite process. And that's what Tortorella has stated he wants; not more talent, more backfilling with PK specialists. The garbage shall flow up rather than the talent flowing down.
Just curious why you think and insist that Laughton will be moved? For Konecny.
Now Hart, that's a separate deal.
He's the 3LW (Farabee, Tippett will play ahead of him in the top 6), which will be hard to replace this season (Laycksell, veteran FA?), but not important enough to retain.damn still talking about top pair dman ghost. What no NAK talk?
How we all doing this morning?

Laughton is 29, coming off a season where he showed himself to be a jack of all trades, then a good WC campaign.
So his value is probably at a maximum.
If you're rebuilding, you need to add assets, he should garner at least a 2nd, maybe a 1st from a playoff team that wants to add to top 9 depth, PK, PP2.

Between signing a new $1,225,000 contract with the Caps and living rent free in your head, NAK will have plenty of cash to splash around in 23-24.damn still talking about top pair dman ghost. What no NAK talk?
not really, cost of living, dc taxes, agent fees, and other stuff.Between signing a new $1,225,000 contract with the Caps and living rent free in your head, NAK will have plenty of cash to splash around in 23-24.
